Boyhood home now open for tours

Tours of President Eisenhower's boyhood home are once again available to the public starting February 14, 2023. Extensive preservation work including exterior lead paint abatement and maintenance updates closed the home for several months. The project is now complete and guests are welcome to once again step back in time and see the home where our nation's 34th President grew up.

The Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum celebrated Lady Bird Johnson’s birthday

On December 22, the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum celebrated Lady Bird Johnson’s birthday and enjoyed daylong holiday activities, and a special exhibit about first lady. Born in 1912, in Karnack, Texas, Mrs. Johnson was a wife, mother, grandmother, conservationist, political advisor to our 36th president, philanthropist, businesswoman, and first lady. Guests enjoyed special exhibits and different activities dedicated to the first lady.

The Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library & Museum organized an online talk “consensus and conflict: the supreme court of the united states”

On November 16, The Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library & Museum organized online talk about significant recent decisions, a historical view of the court and term limits, the power of the court, and what we anticipate this term.

With recent decisions on abortion, gun control, religious freedom and the environment, the U.S. Supreme Court once again reasserted its central role in America.

World War II exhibition at the FDR Presidential Library

On May 28-29, 2022, the lawn in front of the FDR Presidential Library will take on the appearance of a World War II encampment with WWII Military Displays.

Period military vehicles of all sizes and soldiers in battle dress will be on hand to share their love of World War II history.
