Foyer of the Dome hall of the first residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in new capital
1997 – 2004
The collection of gifts to the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev from heads of foreign states and governments, international organizations and foundations, foreign and domestic public figures is presented in the foyer of the Dome Hall.
There is presents unique exhibits from museum collections, systematized by the technique of making and material – visual arts objects and a collection of carpets. These items allow to represent the richness and diversity of the material and spiritual culture of humanity.
A collection of carpets and rugs amaze with a variety of styles, originality of decorations, and geographical distribution. Carpets are created in various techniques: tufted, pileless, mixed. These items of museum significance show the activities of masters of the 20th – early 21st centuries, who were able to raise carpet weaving to a new level.
Also, there is presented the objects of visual arts – paintings and decorative panels from wood, metal, glass, natural and precious stones, ceramics and silk, which are made in various techniques: enameling, glazing, embroidery, hand painting, carving, engraving and mosaics.
These exhibits are evidence of the recognition of the country as an equal member of the world community, however, it’s a sign of personal respect to the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and his many activities on the way to the formation of modern Kazakhstan.
