The first residence of the President in Nur-Sultan was built in 1996-1997 by international company «Mabetex».
The residence of the First President of RK is placed on four floors with the total area of more than 12 000 sq. meters. The complex includes the offices of the President and employees of the Presidential Administration, public halls, break areas, rooms for press conferences, high-level meetings and negotiations.
The first residence of the President is a unique architectural structure that has preserved its original interior and decoration to this day. In 2004, the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was opened in this building. Since 2017, the staff of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy has been working here.
In the period 1997-2004, in the residence’s first floor lobby, the First President of the country N. A. Nazarbayev met high-ranking guests who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit: heads of states, Prime Ministers and heads of delegations.
