The exhibition “Uly tulgalar besigi” from the museum and library funds of Semei city of East Kazakhstan region

      The exhibition opened spring cycle of international exhibition project “Kazakhstan directed to the future” which has been being realized already for three years. The main goal of the project is presentation to general public history, exhibits of material and spiritual culture of the regions of Kazakhstan.
          Semei is the pearl of East Kazakhstan, the birthplace of many outstanding persons of history like Abai Kunanbayev – the great poet and philosopher, which represents Kazakhstan as well as Pushkin represents Russia, Shakespeare – England or Goethe – Germany, Shakarim Kudaiberdiyev, Mukhtar Auezov, Amre Kashaubayev and many others. There lived in different times such famous persons – scientists, poets, writers, singers like Chokan Valikhanov, Feodor Dostoevsky, Akhmet Baitursynov, Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov, Kuanysh Satpayev.
At the exhibition there were presented exhibits of the State reserve museum of Abai, photo materials, archive documents and museum values telling about the history of Semei city. All Kazakh land is the motherland of Abai. There were produced archive documents characterizing public activities of Abai Kunanbayev, paintings of A.Kasteyev, drawings of E.M.Sidorkin. For the first time within the limits of the project there was presented book treasury of the regional library named after Abai. There were books which read Abai, rare editions of XYIII- XIX centuries.
