The exhibition “Decorative-applied art of Japan”

      The exhibition “Decorative-applied art of Japan” organized jointly with the Embassy of Japan and Japan foundation.
      It is a cultural event within the limits of the international project “Dialogue by means of culture”. The project is continued by exhibition of craft objects of Japan decorative-applied art. The exposition has 208 works made in the best Japanese traditions: ceramics, textiles, metal work, lacquerware, glassware, wood and bamboo crafts. The bowls, pots, saucers, flower vases are not only objects of everyday life, but also elements of the ritual, reflecting the material and spiritual culture of Japan.
      All craft objects, despite the diversity of material, technology and artistic techniques, brings together a single, unique style, characterizes the Japanese cultural tradition.
      In the ceremony of opening took part opera singers of K. Baiseitova Opera and ballet Theatre. Guests were able to see the ritual of wearing of kimono.
