The international scientific conference «Modernization of public consciousness: the view of youth» was held at the Kazakh national agrarian university in Almaty on November 14. The conference was organized by the Elbassy library in the framework of the mobile scientific-educational and cultural exhibition project «N. Nazarbayev: epoch, person, society».
The solemn opening ceremony of the Elbassy library at the Center for humanitarian studies «Rukhani zhangyru» took place before the beginning of the conference. Rector of the university, vice-president of the National academy of sciences of Kazakhstan, academician Tlektes Espolov and deputy director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy, doctor of political sciences, professor Amirkhan Rakhimzhanov, shared thoughts about the important role of the project «N. Nazarbayev: epoch, person, society» in the cultural and spiritual upbringing of the younger generation. The administration of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy presented 500 books about the Head of State to the new university library.
The conference «Modernization of public consciousness: the view of youth» was organized in the framework of the Elbassy library project with the aim of promotion the ideas and initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and study the role of youth in preserving the cultural code of the people and forming the consciousness of a new generation of Kazakhstan.
The scientists, students, undergraduates, doctoral students of universities of Almaty and abroad at the event took place. They made reports examining key areas of the implementation of the program «The Course towards future: modernization of public conscience».
– The article of the Head of State «The Course towards future: modernization of public conscience» – program of strategic importance aimed to building a bright future for our country. Since independence day have passed more than 25 years. The first generation, born in independent Kazakhstan, matured and ready to take the future of the country into its own hands and raise it to a new level of development. Although the objectives of this program are addressed to all the people of Kazakhstan, but the main messages are aimed to young people, on its motivation to take responsibility for the destiny of the state. Such concepts as «competitiveness», «knowledge», «science», «unity», «national code» at the article should become an integral part of the consciousness of young generations – noted deputy director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy, doctor of political sciences, professor Amirkhan Rakhimzhanov.
Rector of the university, vice-president of the National academy of sciences of Kazakhstan, academician Tlektes Espolov in his report noted:
– The present time, a new epoch, when society is renewed and changing, requires the setting of new goals, a new view of all spheres of society. Experience shows that, the competitive and active people who managed to preserve their national code and traditional values win in the struggle for survival. Our Elbassy noted that economic progress and the achievement of a high position in the world community are impossible without the modernization of consciousness. His every ideas, addresses find a response in the hearts of people and inspire them to new achievements. We educators, aware of the importance of responsibility assigned to us, should work on the education and upbringing of the younger generation, relying on the tasks identified in the article of the Head of State. Because the bright future of independent Kazakhstan depends on a patriotic, highly educated, developed, virtuous youth.
Master of pedagogical sciences, educator of the International university of Catalonia Christian Lamberti in his report told:
– Such concepts as «deindustrialization», «society of post-industrial society» and «information society» appeared because the industrial society is entering a new era. Therefore, some people call the present time a «knowledge society» a term invented by Peter Drucker in the early of 1980s. The knowledge society is where traditional factors: capital, land, technology, work, are minimized in economic terms, because of the rapid breakthrough in society of dynamic and progressive Knowledge. The government and society must understand that the country’s value is no more measured by mineral resources, industry, tourism and etc. The wealth of the state is measured by the citizen’s knowledge and the ability to spread this knowledge to serve human development and society.
The participants of the conference were greatly interested by the report of Diana Dushniazova, a young entrepreneur, first year master student in the specialty «Agrochemistry and soil science», director of Fly Worx. In her report on theme «Student youth as an innovative potential of spiritual modernization of the country» she noted:
– The article «The Course towards future: modernization of public conscience» is a clear indication that the President is always a few steps ahead of everyone else in his vision of the future development of Kazakhstan. The initiative of our President is unique, because this step will enable us to provide a new young generation with the opportunity of competitiveness in future. Obvious that the strategic advantages will be given to those states and societies which will learn to use effectively the human potential and primarly, the innovative development potential, carrier of which is a young people.
Li Xue Hua third year student of the Hainan Tropical Ocean university, in her speech «My position to the modernization of consciousness: We are for!» told the technological aspects of this process:
– Today Kazakhstan provides to the population all conditions for the realization of their capabilities. All this is due to a technical breakthrough. A technical innovation is the basis of modernization. Therefore, I am for the modernization of consciousness!
