WITHIN THE WALLS OF THE LIBRARY OF ELBASY, SCHOOLCHILDREN GOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE HISTORY OF KAZAKHSTAN’S CAPITAL CITY

On October 26, 2021, the Library of Elbasy hold a lecture on the topic: "The capital city is a symbol of independent Kazakhstan" for schoolchildren of the 8th grade of a gymnasium - schools No. 46 and No. 47 of Nur-Sultan.

   

The Library of Elbasy introduced schoolchildren to the history of the emergence, formation, and development of the city. At the end of the twentieth century, fate prepared an honorable role to the city- to be the capital city of independent Kazakhstan.

The audience was interested in materials related to the history of the capital: the exploration of the city's environs by the native archaeologist Kemal Akishev and his discovery in 1998 of the medieval city Bozok; about the Akmola tract and the foundation of the fortress; development of the city during the Soviet period.

A separate block of the lecture was devoted to Kazakhstan’s experience of transferring the capital and the historical role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev in the creation of the main city of the country.

During the lesson, documents from the Personal Archive of Elbasy were used.
