THE WINNERS OF THE DEBATE TOURNAMENT FOR THE CHALLENGE CUP OF THE LIBRARY OF ELBASSY HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED

On November 18, the winners of the online tournament of the Akikat Debate Club for the Challenge Cup of the Library of Elbassy among college students were awarded. The tournament is dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy. The award ceremony was attended by the winning teams, coaches, tournament judges and students of the Children's Music School No. 1.

Young people were addressed by Director of the Library of Elbassy Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, who noted that support for active and motivated young people is the main task of the state.

"The First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev always emphasizes that the core of educated Kazakhstani youth is formed by active and curious young people. Participants of debate tournaments demonstrate high personal qualities and level of training in making responsible decisions year after year. I sincerely congratulate the winners of the tournament, and I am sure that each of the participants has mastered. All ways are open to you. I wish you new bright successes in your studies and self-improvement!", said A. Rakhimzhanov, presenting the winners the Challenge Cup of the Elbassy Library.

According to the results of the tournament, the following teams won:

Kazakh League
I place - "Tozim" team (International Linguistic College);
II place – team "Finaldamyzgo" (College of Humanities);
III place – the team "Dostyk" (International Linguistic College).
Russian League:
I place - team "Birmingham" (College of Management).
The winners were also determined in the categories "Best speaker", "Best coach", "Best judge". 

The Akikat Debate Club was founded in 2011. Its activities are aimed at developing the skills of critical thinking in the young generation when making independent decisions and achieving the truth through the analysis of topical issues of the history of independent Kazakhstan.

The Akikat Debate Club initiated the debate movement among students of the capital. The club organizes city, republican and international debate tournaments. More than two thousand young people take part in the work of the debate club. The theme of the games is the ideas and initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy N. Nazarbayev and topical issues of the history of independence of Kazakhstan.
