On November 23, a week of volunteer hours on the theme "The First President of Independent Kazakhstan" began in the schools of the capital.
The volunteers of the Elbasy Library, conducting online classes for pupils of grades 4-7, set out to reveal the important role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev in the formation and development of independent Kazakhstan, to educate the patriotic and civic qualities of the individual, as well as broaden their horizons, contribute to the development of speech, memory and thinking of students.

During the volunteer hours, the pupils got acquainted with the biography of Elbasy, learned about interesting facts of his labor and political path, the history of the emergence of the state holiday Day of the First President, consolidated knowledge about the modern history of the country. For clarity, we used archival photographs and documents from the Personal archive of Elbasy, as well as exhibits from the library's museum collections.

- Volunteer Banu Segizbayeva on the eve of December 1 - the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan spoke very interestingly about our Elbasy, prepared a presentation. We have learned a lot. I think that in the future, when studying the history of modern Kazakhstan, we will need all the material of the presentation. I would very much like to meet with the volunteers of the Elbasy Library live on offline lessons”,-one of the listeners, a 7th grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School Yerzhan Dilda sent his feedback.

To date, volunteer hours in Kazakh and Russian have been held for students of schools No. 54, 59, 88 and Nazarbayev Intellectual School.
On November 30, pupils of the school-lyceum №79 and school-gymnasium №2 will take part in the classes. Thus, the total coverage of thematic volunteer hours "The First President of Independent Kazakhstan" will be about 700 students
