On August 27, a webinar "Ata Zań - táýelsіzdіktіń tіregі" was held for the volunteers of the Library of Elbassy. The event is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared 2020 - the Year of the Volunteer in Kazakhstan. This was announced by the Head of state at the opening ceremony of the Republican front office of volunteers "Birgemiz".

– Selfless actions and good deeds are our tradition that goes back centuries. And we must preserve this tradition. To lend a helping hand to another, to help those in need is in our blood. Our people have a remarkable custom that unites people - asar, which has not lost its significance for many centuries. As they say, "the load lifted by joint efforts is light." To unite people and serve the people - this is the key goal of the volunteer movement," the President said.

Deputy Director of the Library of Elbassy, candidate of historical sciences Botagoz Kaipova, whose speech started the webinar, noted the active and well-coordinated work of the volunteers who participated in all the activities of the Library, including conferences, round tables and volunteer hours in several schools in the capital with the participation of about 1,500 pupils. "Young Kazakhstanis should remember that a citizen is not only a right, but, above all, a great responsibility for themselves, their family and our homeland," she quoted the words of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy Nursultan Nazarbayev, calling for further cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in the future.

During the webinar, the volunteers told about interesting facts about the Constitution and its history, and exchanged opinions.

- It is the honor and sacred duty of every citizen to abide by the principles and norms of the Constitution and to defend constitutional values. As volunteers of the Library of Elbassy, we consider it our responsibility to promote this message among young people and the younger generation. In particular, we would like to continue to educate young people about the importance of the Constitution and its role in modern society during our volunteer hours on the independence of Kazakhstan, the formation of our capital and the role of the First President in these processes, - said Anuar Zhumabekov, a volunteer of the Library of the Elbassy.

At the end of the webinar, the participants were acquainted with the work plan for the new academic year.
