Employees of the Service for Social, Humanitarian and Educational Projects and volunteers of the Library of Elbasy organized and conducted a volunteer hour "The capital is a symbol of state unity" for students of grades 5-6 of the lyceum school No. 72.

The students got acquainted with the history of the formation of the modern capital of Kazakhstan. The archival photographs provided an insight into the architecture of the city in the past and in the present, vividly demonstrating the colossal changes in the main city of the country. The volunteers told about the architectural ideas and plans of Elbasy, his contribution to the development of the capital.

The guys showed great interest in the story about the architectural symbols of the capital: the Baiterek complex, the unique creation of the British architect Norman Foster, the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the tallest tent-roofed structure in the world - the Khan Shatyr shopping and entertainment center, etc.
The volunteers held with students the game "I know my capital," aimed at awakening emotional images and developing students' interest in studying their country.
