VOLUNTEER HOUR OF THE LIBRARY OF ELBASSY FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN OF THE CAPITAL

2019 was declared by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy N. Nazarbayev Year of Youth.  During this period, many youth initiatives, projects, and startups were implemented. The logical continuation was the announcement by President of Kazakhstan K.Tokayev of 2020 as Volunteer Year.

Currently, volunteering in Kazakhstan has moved to a new stage of development. Citizens have already come to understand that voluntary work for the benefit of society is necessary for everyone and is one of the conditions for the development of society and the state. In particular, volunteering helps the young generation of Kazakhstanis to gain social experience and expand their motivational messages.
From year to year, the number of volunteers of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy is growing, these are the best students of the capital's universities who actively participate in various events. One of them is the educational project "Volunteer hour" in schools of the capital.
On the eve of the First President's Day, on November 25-26, employees of the Social, Humanitarian and Educational Projects Service together with volunteers of the Library of Elbassy held an online volunteer hour in the capital's schools No. 40, 41, 60. The project reached 350 students.
As part of the volunteer hour on the theme "The First President of Independent Kazakhstan – Elbassy N. A. Nazarbayev", students got acquainted with the biography of Elbassy, learned interesting facts about his childhood and school years, sports hobbies and achievements in political and public activities. Through museum exhibits and archival documents, the children were shown the way of formation and the phenomenon of the leadership of Elbassy.
"Today, at the volunteer hour, I learned a lot about the life of Nursultan Nazarbayev. For example, that he was a great athlete, a very kind and sensitive friend. He is a true patriot", Adilbek Orynbasar, a student of the 6th- grade of school No. 40, shared his impressions.
