THE VOLUNTEER FORUM WAS HELD WITHIN THE WALLS OF THE LIBRARY OF THE FIRST PRESIDENT

The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the QYF Volunteer Forum, organized jointly with the International Mental and Educational Center (IMEI).

IMEI is a branch of the International Institute for the Development of Intellect (Republic of Korea) in Astana, which implements educational programs for the development of personality and the formation of healthy thinking.

“Volunteering is the most important institution of civil society. These are people who want to change life around them for the better and believe that they are able to do this, take responsibility, and are ready to unite in order to achieve such goals. In our country, volunteering received a new impetus when 2020 was declared the Year of the Volunteer by the President K.K. Tokaev, and in 2022 the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Volunteering” was signed. It is worth noting that our institution has its own traditions of volunteering, this movement has been operating with us since 2017”, - said Botagoz Kaipova, Deputy Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in her welcoming speech.

The first organizational forum of volunteers from among the students of the capital's universities was dedicated to the presentation of the QYF volunteering program, familiarization with the goals and objectives of the movement.

In addition, the director of the branch of the International Mental and Educational Center in Astana, Professor Seo Zin Wook held a mind lecture for the participants.

Volunteers discussed plans for future activities in groups in areas and voiced their proposals.
