On 6 November, a new project of the Elbasy Library "Media Meiman" was launched, in which future journalists – students from various universities of the country will have the opportunity to participate in meetings with well-known domestic media personalities, to participate in their master classes.
The first guest of the project was the Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "Republican newspaper "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda" Vladimir Kuryatov, and his listeners were the first-year students of the faculty of journalism of ENU.

The moderator of the meeting Kanat Auesbay introduced a colleague to participants, told about his professional career and achievements. Then Vladimir Gennadievich told future journalists about new information trends, the development of which was clearly presented on the example of the newspaper "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda". The speaker shared some secrets of design and page proofs of publications. "When a person wants to get verified information, he goes to the newspaper," V. Kuryatov said. "But I would recommend reading several newspapers, because each edition has its own information policy, and when you read several materials on one topic, you will have an idea of what is happening in the country".

Then the moderator invited the guest to hold a kind of press conference, during which students could feel like journalists, asking questions. Students get to work with enthusiasm.
One of the most interesting questions was "How to distinguish real news from fake one?"

– This is one of the urgent problems of modern journalism. But here it should be realized that "Kazakhstanskaya Pravda" is responsible for every word. For example, when I was engaged in journalistic investigations, working for Kazpravda or other publications, I was engaged in this investigation from a month to two. This, indeed, takes a very long time, that is, it is not spontaneous news that has emerged, and we have issued. We need to look at the issue from all sides. Moreover, if we have published something, it is true at least this is our position. If the material comes, we always show it to our lawyer, this is our rule. This procedure allowed us to avoid many claims. In addition, what you see in blogs, there is less responsibility. Sometimes, they sued us, I mean Kazpravda. However, we have not lost in the courts, – said Vladimir Gennadevich.

At the end of the meeting, V. Kuryatov amused his future colleagues a little by reading them funny typos of journalists from some of the materials sent.
After the successful completion of the event, the participants were awarded participation certificates and gifts.
