VISIT OF THE PARLIAMENTARY VICE-MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF JAPAN

The Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan Nakanishi Satoshi has visited the Elbasy Library Museum today.

The guest was shown expositions telling about the formation of independent Kazakhstan, about the biography and political activities of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev.
After a detailed tour, Nakanishi Satoshi noted the high level of technical equipment of the Library and the uniqueness of the exhibits that are of great value for future generations of the independent state.

During the visit, Nakanishi Satoshi met with the Director of the Library of Elbasy B. Temirbolat. It was noted that Kazakhstan and Japan have long-standing friendly relations. These are two countries directly affected by nuclear weapons.

The land of the rising sun has supported Kazakhstan's initiatives in the field of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons since the first days of its Independence. In 2009, at the initiative of Kazakhstan, the UN declared August 29 - the day of the closure of the Semipalatinsk Test Site - the International Day against Nuclear Tests. Japan has become a co-sponsor of the UN General Assembly resolution on this decision.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the institution thanked the guest for the visit and stressed the need for further comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. In memory of the visit to the Library of Elbasy, B. Temirbolat presented the book "N. A. Nazarbayev. Biography".
