VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE FOR FUTURE VOTERS

The electoral system of the Republic of Kazakhstan became the topic of the museum lesson of the Elbasy Library fof pupils of the No. 8 school-lyceum of the capital. The children learned about the history of the formation of the electoral system and law in Kazakhstan, which are one of the manifestations of an independent state. Senior pupils shared their views on the importance of civil responsibility of every citizen of the country participating in the elections.

 

Over the years of independence, large-scale work has been carried out in Kazakhstan with the aim of creating conditions for holding open, fair and fair elections, a continuous system of legal education of citizens, development and public activity of voters. During the lesson, the guys cited as an example the elections to the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held on January 10 of this year. It is known that children get the first knowledge about elections in the family when dad and mom go to vote on Sunday. Thus, the foundations of civic education are laid.

Why it is important to go to elections, as well as what primaries are, elections of the President of the country, deputies of Parliament and maslikhats - information about all this was presented to children both in the form of a short lecture and with the help of historical documents, archival data stored in the Elbasy Library.

In the practical part of the lesson, a training was organized in which the pupils discussed the topic of elections. The task "I participate in the elections" became fascinating - the guys elected the president of the school's self-governing body. In this part, they tried to demonstrate their leadership qualities, organizational skills and the ability to conduct a dialogue.

In the article "Independence Above All", the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev said: “The 21st century is an era of new knowledge and technologies. Each person can increase his competitiveness only by continuously improving himself, mastering new professions and constantly adapting to the dictates of the times". Important goals of the museum lessons of the Elbasy Library are the development of communication skills in adolescents, the formation of responsibility and patriotism in the younger generation by studying the history of the independence of the state, the most important stages of its construction.
