Reading with children is an excellent means of emotional education, the winner of the project "100 new personalities of Kazakhstan" in the category "Society" Nazgul Zhakenova is strongly convinced. Having received her first economic education, Nazgul worked at the university, later defended her dissertation and became the author and co-author of many resource books on economics and finance. However, fate decided otherwise, it turned out that the true calling awaited Nazgul in a very different field - pre-school education.
Since 2012, Nazgul Zhakenova has been working as a teacher in a rural kindergarten. During this period, she was trained as a speech therapist and engaged in speech correction in children. In the project "100 new personalities of Kazakhstan", Nazgul became the only winner from the Akmola region. Colleagues put her candidacy in 2019 forward from the "Kazakhstan Association of Continuing Education", who speak of Nazgul as a strong teacher, kind and very modest person. And the parents of her students say that she is "a mom with a very big heart."
Nazgul urges parents not to give their children the opportunity to spend uncontrolled time with a smartphone. Instead, there should be lively conversations, conversations about interesting, common, important things that unite the family. By the way, Nazgul makes a great contribution to the preservation and strengthening of the family institution. Many people turn to her for advice on how to put a child to kindergarten, on counseling for orphans, collecting documents for registration of child benefits and much more.
- Behind modern technologies are soulless, faceless, indifferent devices that do not require a live dialogue. Children do not need to communicate with them "in a voice", aloud and wait for an answer, pronounce, argue, discuss. The era brought a new generation with oral speech and literacy problems. Now there are many children with speech problems, much more than, for example, 30 years ago. From my work experience, I see very clearly that from year to year the problem slowly but surely growing. Choosing the work of a speech therapist, I understood that it would be difficult because besides the above mentioned there is also the increasing "child-centrism" of the parents, the imbalance in the parental upbringing due to "mother's selfishness", a fall in the authority of teachers and doctors, a decrease in social parental responsibility, pedagogical illiteracy of parents, Nazgul Zhakenova emphasizes the essence of the problem.
According to Nazgul, the main factor in the growth of the number of children with speech problems is the lack of specialists, especially in rural areas. Among young people, the profession of a speech therapist is irrelevant. As a member of the Kazakhstan Association of Continuing Education, Nazgul participated in the development of the draft law "On the status of a teacher". Now the girl is actively engaged in self-education: she takes various online courses and seminars. Speaking about his professional business, Nazgul notes that it is always necessary to be in the trend, know and be able to apply new techniques and technologies in practice. As an example, she quotes the American philosopher, sociologist Herbert Spencer: "In the matter of education, the process of self-education should be given the widest possible place. Humanity has developed most successfully only through self-education."
The information project of the Library of Elbassy "Uly dala tarlandary" aims to highlight the ideas of success, competitiveness, pragmatism and the cult of knowledge on the examples of specific people – finalists of the contest "100 new personalities of Kazakhstan". This project is implemented in support of the program article of Elbassy "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity", in which Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to draw public attention to the history of our contemporaries and create a new multimedia platform where everyone can get acquainted with them.
