«ТЕҢГЕ – ЕЛ ТӘУЕЛСІЗДІГІНІҢ НЫШАНЫ» (TENGE – A SYMBOL OF OUR INDEPENDENCE). LECTURE TO DAY OF THE NATIONAL CURRENCY

On November 15 at the building of the Elbassy Museum for students of the college «Turan» was held the lecture «Теңге – ел тәуелсіздігінің нышаны» (Tenge – a symbol of our independence) dedicated to the Day of national currency.

The lecturer, senior expert of the Service of publishing activities and public relations Lida Bukeshova introduced the audience with the history of money circulation on the territory of Kazakhstan, the stages of creation and introduction of tenge.

– Money is an original and important historical source. They brought to us whole portrait galleries of historical figures, images of various monuments, mythological subjects, genre scenes reflected in their drawings. The Kazakhstan state currency - tenge not an exception, – noted Lida Kosaevna.

The material about the first Kazakhstan tenge was printed by the British company «Harrison and Sons», for which the order of Kazakhstan brought world fame and a special award – the Golden Sign of the Queen of Great Britain was interested the audience. Tenge were recognized as the best export product of Britain. Therefore a shield with an image of the Kazakhstan tenge hangs at the honorable place in the office of the manufacturer.

The methodologist of the college «Turan» Umerzhanova Mayra shared her impressions about the lecture:

– I want to note the rich scientific material, interesting and accessible presentation. This is important for a student audience, which needs to be seen firsthand. Today we learned a lot of new facts from the history of the national currency. Thank you for your invitation.
