On February 28, the Library of Elbasy was visited by Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Suma Chakrabarti and Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Manager of the International Financial Center "Astana" Kairat Kelimbetov.
The tour for the guests began with a demonstration of a mini-film showing the origin and practical implementation of the idea of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev "Mangilik El". Then the visitors were presented with unique exhibits that reflect the most important stages of the construction and strengthening of independent Kazakhstan. In the "TENGE" section, dedicated to the creation and formation of the national currency, the guests were given the opportunity to use AR technology. Pointing the tablets at the samples of banknotes, they saw three-dimensional symbols and objects reflected on the national currency. Kairat Kelimbetov introduced Suma Chakrabarti to the first samples of banknotes and told about the historical figures depicted on them.
Various IT-technology tools are actively used in the expositions of the new building of the Elbasy Library Museum. In the hall "The Way of the Strategist", the mapping show "City Development" is shown, dedicated to the capital of Kazakhstan. The show begins with showing Nur-Sultan on the globe and continues with the image of a silk carpet as a philosophical reflection of the metropolis on the world map.
"The legacy of the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev is very widely and fully reflected in the Museum. It is very important to preserve this large-scale collection for future generations. It is important for everyone to visit here, for whole families, because it is very interesting and valuable. The rich complex of archival materials is very impressive", Suma Chakrabarti shared his opinion.
Then the guests got acquainted with the halls dedicated to the state development programs "Strategy 2030" and "Strategy 2050", the stories of the winners of the republican project initiated by Elbasy – "100 new personalities of Kazakhstan", and also saw the photo gallery "Leader recognized by the world", where S. Chakrabarti was impressed by the breadth of the photo collection.
At the end of the tour, the guests played several melodies on national instruments presented in the 7th hall of the museum. Suma Chakrabarti demonstrated his mastery of the Kazakh dombra, after which he left a note in the electronic book of the Museum of the Library of Elbasy.
In the course of the meeting with Director of the Library of Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat, the guests thanked the Library staff for the tour and the work carried out to preserve and promote the history and achievements of independent Kazakhstan.
