A lecture "Kazakhstan and the Muslim world" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence was held for students of the Construction and Technical College of Nur-Sultan in the Library of Elbasy.
Since the first days of independence, the Republic of Kazakhstan has adhered to the constant course of a balanced multi-vector foreign policy.
As the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N.A.Nazarbayev notes: "Kazakhstan, due to its geopolitical position and economic potential, has no right to focus on narrow regional problems... The future of Kazakhstan is in Asia, Europe, East and West."

Head of state K.K. Tokayev in his speeches pays attention to the efforts of Kazakhstan aimed at unification of the Muslim world on the way of progress and development and to the fact that Kazakhstan can give the whole world an example of building a society on the principles of justice and tolerance.

According to the President of the country, "Kazakhstan has every opportunity to become a territory for the development of enlightened Islam."

Kazakhstan, as an inseparable element of the Muslim world, fully and effectively operates within the framework of the most important associations of Islamic states, primarily in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Since joining the OIC, Kazakhstan has taken an active part in its multifaceted activities.
Kazakhstan's chairmanship in this major international organization from 2011 to 2012 is recognition by the Islamic world as an influential player in the political arena, strengthening the status of the republic as an integral part of the Muslim world.
At the initiative of Kazakhstan, a decision to rename the OIC to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was made, a Permanent Commission on Human Rights was established, and an Action Plan for Cooperation with Central Asia was adopted for the first time.
During the lecture special attention was paid to the role of Islam in the formation of spiritual, moral and value orientations in Kazakhstan.
