On June 3, 2011 in the Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan took place a competition-festival of children art “Colour mosaic”, dedicated to the International Childrens Protection Day. It is held according to the traditional joint event of the Museum of the First President of Kazakhstan and the Children Art School within the limits of the Museum project "View from childhood".
In this year in the competition took part about 90 children from 6 to 14 years. More than 50 children competed in three genres of art, 32 - in the competition of the carnival costumes. The children from 6 to 8 years participated in the competition of face tattoo with aqua-face-paint. The children from 9 to 11 years – painted on the easel their favourite city Astana. For older children there was offered a thematic painting of plastic things with acrylic.
The competition of the carnival costumes, which were made of the various materials, showed the most unexpected and highly artistic use of the plastic bags, newspapers, wrapping papers, etc. The bottleneck of the carnival costumes became an adornment of the festival. The Grand Prix owner in two competitions became a pupil of Museum Art Studio Salimgerey Aisha. In other competitions the Grand Prix were awarded K. Mironets and Sh. Ashirbekova. The members and the guests of the festival were able to watch the favourite cartoons. Everybody had a souvenirs and ice cream.
