Today, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Library of Elbasy and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) was signed in the Library of Elbasy. The document was signed by Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat and Secretary-General of TURKSOY Dyusen Kaseinov.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to implement joint cultural, educational and research projects to study the history of the formation and development of the Turkic culture. The parties plan to hold scientific, educational, creative projects and programs, exhibitions, forums, conferences and other socially significant events.
According to Director of the Library of Elbasy, Bakhytzhan Temirbolat, in the context of the large-scale activities of TURKSOY aimed at strengthening brotherhood and friendship between the Turkic peoples, the two organizations have a wide range of prospects for further cooperation.
"Since its establishment in 2014, the Library of Elbasy has been actively working to popularize the political achievements of Elbasy, his role in the creation of a new independent state on the world map. Taking into account the authority of Nursultan Nazarbayev as the aksakal of the Turkic world, I consider it necessary to give a powerful impetus to the joint and systematic work of the Library of Elbasy and the TURKSOY organization in the study, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples", B. Temirbolat said.
In turn, D. Kaseinov shared his impressions of visiting the new building of the Museum of the Library of Elbasy and stressed the value of the collection in educating a new generation of Kazakhstanis: "The history of Kazakhstan's Independence and its achievements over 30 years is very widely and fully presented here. Unique expositions equipped with digital technologies must be seen by all Kazakhstanis and foreign guests. The museum carefully preserves the heritage that reveals the history of the path of Elbasy, his political achievements and initiatives. It is a great honor for us to sign a Memorandum with the Library of Elbasy, which will give a new impetus to our work", D. Kaseinov summed up. At the end of the meeting, D. Kaseinov handed over to the Director of the Library a book "Abai" in English, published by the TURKSOY organization.
The TURKSOY organization was established on July 12, 1993, in Almaty on the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev, who is internationally recognized as the leader of the Turkic world. As the architect of the Turkic integration, Elbasy also initiated the creation in 2009 of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-speaking states - the Turkic Council - an organization that implements global, humanitarian initiatives and major economic projects in the Central Asian countries.
