«SEVEN FACETS OF THE GREAT STEPPE»: A BINDING THREAD OF HISTORY

Two years ago, the program article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy N. Nazarbayev "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe" was published.  From a bird's-eye view over the vast steppe and majestic mountains, the Kazakh people deeply felt their innermost involvement in the continuous history of nomads.

The sacred number "Seven". A person is strong with his spiritual roots. The spirits of the ancestors protects him, if he carefully preserves and passes on the centuries-old traditions of "Zheti Ata" from generation to generation. This is an exceptionally unique genetic program of the ancient life postulates of the Kazakh people.

The versatility of the article N. Nazarbayev is in the ideological consolidation of the past and present of the Great Steppe, in the need to understand the historical contribution of Kazakhstan to the development of the Turkic world and global civilization, to actualize the national values of the Kazakh land in the modernization of public consciousness. The deep theses of work are organically linked to the logical chain of the revival of the cultural heritage of our country.

At all times, the nation has flourished and contributed to global civilization due to its strong progressive, spiritual, and moral human potential. The main message of the article is not to interrupt the binding thread of history, to preserve and strengthen the national code for the present and for the benefit of the future of Kazakhstan.

The exceptional value of the program article of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev is in the depth of thought about the origins of "outstanding cultural achievements that were not brought to the steppe, but in most cases emerged on our land". The history of the Kazakh people is not just the past of nomads, it is a source of new knowledge for a full understanding of the chosen path of civilized development. Undoubtedly, the key theses of the article inspired the scientific community of the country to conduct objective fundamental research of the historical mission of the Kazakh people.

Today the Great Steppe justifiably and proudly bears its name in the global matrix of history: "Our land, without exaggeration, has become a place where many items of material culture come from. In their development, the inhabitants of the steppes discovered many technical innovations to the world, and became the founders of inventions that are still used in all parts of the world. The chronicles keep many well-known facts, when the ancestors of Kazakhs repeatedly changed fundamentally the course of political and economic history in vast areas of Eurasia."

N. Nazarbayev outlined seven original enduring national values of the Kazakh people, each of which brought "the fruits of the great technological revolution": horse breeding and equestrian culture, metallurgy, the phenomenon of the Great Silk Road, "animal style", "Golden man", the cradle of the Turkic world – Altai, Kazakhstan – the birthplace of apples and tulips.

The concept of the article is that Nursultan Nazarbayev, taking into account the historical features of the steppe civilization, featured a modern model of the progressive development of independent Kazakhstan.                            As fundamental and effective steps to revive the country's historical heritage, the First President of Kazakhstan initiated the launch of such large-scale projects "Archive-2025" and "Turkic civilization: from the origins to the present". The logical continuation of the "Rukhani Zhangyru" program became the large-scale historical and archaeological routes of scientific research expeditions of Kazakh youth.

The ancient land of nomads gave many historical figures who made an invaluable contribution to the formation of the statehood of the steppe people. The names of the greatest thinkers Abu Nasr al-Farabi and Kozha Akhmet Yassaui, outstanding figures Tauke, Abylai, Kultegin, Beibars, Kerey and Zhanibek and many famous batyrs, who were born by the Great Steppe, are written in letters of gold in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan.

The opening of the educational and encyclopedia park "Great Names of the Great Steppe" and the creation of a popular science series "Outstanding Personalities of the Great Steppe" are among the best projects for preserving the historical heritage of sovereign Kazakhstan and "forming an up-to-date gallery of images of great thinkers, poets and rulers of the past."

The role of the greatest sons of the ancient Kazakh steppe - Abai, Zhambyl Zhabayev, Akhmet Baitursynov, Shakarim Kudaiberdiev, Magzhan Zhumabaev, Zhusupbek Aimautov, Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov and other prominent figures of steppe culture in the development of world civilization has been recognized by the world community.

There will remain for many centuries inexhaustible treasures of progressive thought of "high art and technology" and expositions of valuable archaeological finds, initiated by the First President of Kazakhstan-Elbassy N. Nazarbayev, a unique project - the Uly Dala museum of ancient art and technology of the Great Steppe

The program article actualized the need for accelerated development of cultural tourism in Kazakhstan. Undoubtedly, for this purpose, a great deal of information work on popularizing the historical facts of the great nomad steppe is fundamentally important: "in the near future, it is necessary to launch a special series of documentary films, television series and full-length feature films that demonstrate the continuity of the civilizational history of Kazakhstan.

Work on these projects should be carried out within the framework of broad international cooperation with the involvement of the best domestic and foreign screenwriters, directors, actors, producers and other specialists of the modern film industry".

The creation of large-scale projects to revive and multiply the centuries-old heritage of our country, as defined in the historical article of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, will undoubtedly make an invaluable contribution to the richest cultural foundation of steppe civilization.

From the height of flight over the vast steppes of a mighty bird - an eagle and a proud look from the high Alatau mountains of a snow leopard - many generations will remember and be proud of the history of their Great Steppe.
