A SEMINAR IN AKTOBE "INFORMATIZATION IN THE MUSEUM SPHERE"

In the Aktobe Regional State University named after K. Zhubanov, the staff of the Elbassy Library held a scientific and practical seminar "Informatization in the museum sphere". The participants of the event had the opportunity to exchange experience in the field of studying and promoting cultural heritage in the light of the tasks of modernizing public consciousness.

During the seminar, there was a discussion of topical issues related to the development of information technologies in museum activities. The experience of scientific and theoretical, and practical developments in the study of the historical and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, the phenomenon of leadership of N. Nazarbayev. The Library staff shared their experience in creating an electronic database for the operational study of the heritage of N. Nazarbayev, and acquainted with the results of research and practical work of the staff of the Library of Elbassy as part of the development and improvement of the automated system "Museum" for the registration and storage of museum collections.

The seminar was moderated by  Deputy Director of the Library of the Elbassy Kulyaisha Aktayeva, she spoke about current issues of informatization in the museum field.

- The Elbassy Library is a large organization with ample resources. In each region where we come with exhibitions we meet with local museum staff and share experiences. In the course of the current scientific and practical seminar, the Library staff will also try to impart to their colleagues modern knowledge and skills in the field of museum informatization. IT technologies in this direction provide us with great opportunities, especially in terms of research, search and analytical work, - Kulyaisha Aktaeva noted.

At the seminar, presentations were made by A. Kydyralina, a research officer of the local history museum of the Shalkar District of the Aktobe Region, D. Gabdullaev, a Technical Director of TORUS.KZ, and experts of the Library of Elbassy G. Serikbayeva and A. Donenbayeva.

Specialists have demonstrated scientific and theoretical, and practical experience in the preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, as well as in studying the phenomenon of N. Nazarbayev. In addition, students learned about the results of work on improving the “Museum” automated  system for recording and storing museum valuables. At the end of the seminar, all participants were awarded certificates.

The event was held in the framework of the mobile exhibition project of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy  “N.Nazarbayev: epoch, personality, society”. The project started in November 2017 in Almaty, continued its work in February 2018 in Shymkent. In September, the event was held with success in the Atyrau region. In total, within the framework of the project from 2017 to 2018, more than 350,000 people took part in the events and familiarized themselves with the exhibition.
