On October 3, 2017 in the building of the Museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy was held a «round table» «Modern Kazakhstan culture in the global world» in the limits of the international cooperation and implementation of the scientific project «Kazakhstan at the present stage».
The topical issues of the development of the national culture of Kazakhstan in the context of modern globalization processes were discussed during a «round table».
The representatives of the Hungarian Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor of Western-Hungarian University Mihai Freshli, representatives of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scientists, researchers and experts took part in the work of «round table».

In opening the «round table», the deputy director of the Elbassy library, candidate of historical sciences Botagoz Kaipova noted that globalization and security are the main problems of our time.
– We want to discuss the role and place of national cultures in a globalizing world in the limits of today's meeting. It's no secret that globalization has two sides, positive and negotiable. According to the Head of the State, on the basis of the intercivilization dialogue should be laid the recognition of the diversity of the world as the universal value of humanity.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrash Barani in his welcoming speech noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Hungary.
– Our countries unite much more than diplomatic contacts. First of all, common historical roots, common culture and traditions. It’s gratifying that our cooperation is developing very dynamically. Hungary is Kazakhstan's only strategic partner in the Eastern Central Europe region, and Kazakhstan is Hungary's only strategic partner in the Central Asia region. We have significant results of partnership relations, which can be proud of – the launch of the direct flight Astana – Budapest; 200 state grants given to Kazakhstan students studying in Hungary; the growth of trade turnover between our countries (16% last year, 32% – for the first quarter of 2017). We have all the prerequisites for further mutually beneficial cooperation, more precisely at the scientific level.

– We are very pleased to this «round table», because globalization is very rapidly spreading in the world and it’s difficult to find a place for national culture. On the one hand, Kazakhstan is trying to bring its culture with the european and the world, but at the same time it tries to preserve its identity as its national pride, – noted professor of the Western-Hungarian University, PhD doctor Mihai Freshli in his report.
The deputy director of the Elbassy library, candidate of historical sciences Kulyaysha Aktaeva noted the relevance of the meeting in the light of the discussion of the N.A. Nazarbayev’s article «Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity».
