On September 26th, 2011 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the limits of the realization of the scientific program “The First President and the further development of independent Kazakhstan” has taken place the “round table” “Tolerance in Kazakhstan society: historical roots, problems and ways of maintenance of dialogue of faiths”.
In the work of the “round table” have taken part the representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on affairs of religions, religious faiths and the national-cultural centers of Astana, scientists, researchers.
The inter-confessional world, peaceful interethnic interaction, balance between the tradition and the innovation, including the socio-cultural environment are important factors in building of the civil society and keeping of statehood.
The participants of the “round table” during the open and fruitful discussion have discussed the issues of intercultural and inter-confessional dialogue in the Republic of Kazakhstan. B. Temirbolat, Deputy Chief of the Secretariat of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has said that leaning for world experience, the country is creating new formats in the security structure, an example – is the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. In his opinion, stability and consent strengthening is a large daily work which needs to be spent constantly. Everyone citizen of Kazakhstan should protected them. It is no matter whatever ethnos or religion he belongs, because well-being not only of our state, but also of its each citizen depends on it. The deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Burkhanov K.N and Dymov O.G have noted the urgent problems of ethnic and religious tolerance in the modern world. “The idea of “peaceful” is in every faith and we should build the base on it. The Republic of Kazakhstan has the example of tolerance. We shouldnt look at someone, because we have an ideal and it is possible to be equal. And we should develop the potential of the tolerant relation in Kazakhstan society”, – has told Shmuel Karnauh, the main rabbi of Astana and Akmola region.
As a result of the “round table” the participants have adopted a resolution.

On September 26th, 2011 in the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has taken place the “round table” on the theme: “Tolerance in Kazakhstan society: historical roots, problems and ways of maintenance of dialogue of faiths”, organized within the limits of realization of the scientific program “The First President and the further development of independent Kazakhstan”.
In the “round table” have been heard 12 reports. The representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, religious faiths of Astana, scientists and researchers have taken part in its work.
The organizers identified the main goal of the “round table” is the discussion of the topical issues of intercultural and interfaith dialogue in the Republic of Kazakhstan; the interaction of the state bodies and civil society institutions in the sphere of interethnic and interfaith relations; the initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the nation N.A Nazarbayev in building of interfaith and intercultural dialogue, strengthening of peace and harmony in the society.
The participants of the “round table” thoroughly got acquainted with Kazakhstan experience of peace and consent strategy, which is implemented by Kazakhstan under the leadership of the President N.A Nazarbayev, came to the conclusion that the country with its practical affairs demonstrates the commitment to the politics of maintaining and strengthening of consent between peoples and religions, it constantly builds its own model of peaceful existence of various ethnic groups and faiths.

RECOMMENDS:
1. To note:
importance of work on distribution of ideas of interethnic, intercultural and inter-confessional tolerance, the importance of propagation of Kazakhstan "know-how" – the model of keeping and strengthening of the international consent and formation of Kazakhstan identity;
a special role of Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, the institutions of culture and education in development of tolerant consciousness of Kazakhstan people.
2. To recognize,
that the achievement of the goals is possible in the conditions of respect and tolerance for diversity of the world; the use of dialogue as a fundamental principle of keeping peace and harmony in the society, and at the same time to make the conditions for the ethno-cultural, religious consciousness and self- identification of the population.
3. To consider necessary:
strengthening of national culture and the cultures and religions which are traditional for Kazakhstan society;
upbringing of the young generation in the spirit of tolerance and respect for the history and culture of multiethnic, multi-confessional Kazakhstan society;
development of new forms and methods of works for upbringing and full development of a tolerant person.
4. To provide:
at education-upbringing level timely and balanced explanation of the manifestation of acts of intolerance and violence, exacerbated in the contemporary world of inter-religious, ethnic and other conflicts, which cant attract public attention to the problems of tolerance;
organization of experience exchange in the realization of programs and projects in the sphere of study and promotion of interethnic and inter-religious tolerance;
together with the research, educational and cultural institutions actively develop the debatable forms of communication – the scientific-practical conferences, round tables, seminars, occupying a special place in the system of measures aimed at further strengthening the idea of tolerance and prevention of the extremism.
We are the participants of the “round table”, emphasize that the realization of these tasks will have a positive impact for the formation and development of multi-ethnic, multi-confessional Kazakhstan society.
