On October 1, 2021, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy held the solemn opening of the personal exhibition of the artist Dinara Kadyrova "Umai Lullaby".
The main theme and sources of inspiration for the creative pursuit of the author are womanhood, motherhood, childhood, as well as the traditional culture of Kazakhs and Turkic culture. Hence the name of the exhibition "Umai Lullaby" is a dedication to the goddess Umai, the patroness of women and children.
The exhibition is organized within the project of the Library of Elbasy "Cultural Code of Independence", focused on showing the creativity of original authors who form a recognizable country code, and is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Dinara Kadyrova's creative range is very wide and covers such different genres as graphics, painting, illustration, digital art. The theme of motherhood as a source of creative life energy prevails in the content of the artist's work. Therefore, images of children, women and nature prevail in her paintings.
You may experience the full patronage of goddess Umai when looking at the works displayed at today's exhibition entitled "Umai Lullaby". It is no coincidence that the artist turned to the problems of ecology, global cataclysms related to climate change, the need for the enterprise to take measures to preserve and protect the environment as the basis of life itself," said Bakytzhan Temirbolat, Director of the Library of Elbasy, opening the exhibition.
"This is a very important event for me, I went to it from early childhood. Thank you so much for coming to support me. These works, which come from the depths of my soul, I began to create just when I became a mother. It was a major challenge to combine the role of an artist and that of a mother. In my paintings, I want to convey everything I cannot say, all my love. I want you to feel it. And, of course, it is a tribute to our culture, which is very inspiring to me.
I want to express my gratitude to the Library of Elbasy for the invitation. It is a great honor and responsibility," Dinara Kadyrova said.
"I have known Dinara since 2005. I know how she grew up, how she went to this. She is an artist to the depths of her soul, who sees this world in a special way. She painted these works at home. Therefore, they are imbued with the aura of her home, family. She reflects in her works core values, simple and very human. I am very glad that today for the first time so many people can acquaint with this," said Aigerim Karibaeva, the artist, designer, winner of the project "100 new personalities of Kazakhstan".
Dinara Kadyrova's first solo exhibition features 27 of the artist's best works collected over eight years of her work.

About the author: Dinara Kadyrova was born and raised in Almaty. She received art education at the art school and college at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhurgenov, then at the academy itself. Even during her studies, the artist's works were published in the UNESCO collections. As a gifted student, she took part in a meeting with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev. The diploma series of graphic works by D.Kadyrova dedicated to the cities of the Great Silk Road was exhibited at the Astana Design Week 2013, dedicated to the Day of the First President. Fascinated by the art of art photography, she successfully participated in competitions and exhibitions in photography.
