OPINION ON THE SPEECH OF PRESIDENT K.K. TOKAYEV AT A MEETING OF THE MAZHILIS OF THE PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

Today, at a meeting of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President K.K. Tokayev presented the candidacy of the new Prime Minister and announced the main directions of the country's economic and political transformation.
During this difficult period for independent Kazakhstan, the Head of State made timely and correct decisions to stabilize the situation in the country and return the people to a peaceful life as soon as possible.
The initiatives voiced by him are aimed at further modernization of the state model formed over the years of independence under the leadership of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev.
We fully support the package of state reforms proposed by the President of the country, which are a response to modern challenges.
First of all, specific tasks have been set to solve pressing issues in the economic sphere. This once again shows adherence to the principle "Economy first, then politics".
K.K. Tokayev openly and clearly voiced the long-overdue problems of society, and, most importantly, indicated specific ways of solving, giving appropriate instructions to the state apparatus.
All his initiatives are aimed at the well-being and improvement of the quality of life of every citizen of Kazakhstan.
The income growth of all groups of the population will be ensured. Prices for liquefied gas and gasoline, as well as essential foodstuffs are taken under the control of a specially created commission. An instruction was given to reduce inflation and achieve the target corridor of 3-4% by 2025.
An initiative was voiced to create a public social Fund "Kazakhstan khalqyna", the funds from which will be directed to solving acute problems in the field of health care, education, social support of the population.
It is important to note the instructions of the Head of State regarding the cardinal reorganization of the national security system. The reforms will affect the activities of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, national security agencies and foreign intelligence of the RK.
In this difficult time for all of us, we must maintain peace, unity and harmony in society. We have all opportunity to enter a new vector of development and build a competitive economy of the country.
Having united, we will overcome all difficulties!
