Work on preservation and use the spiritual values of the multinational Kazakhstan people considered as an important part of public and cultural development of our country.

Multifaceted aspects of political, socio-economical, scientific, cultural activity of state and society are reflected in the documents of the personnel archive of the President. The unique documents on the modern political history of Kazakhstan occupy a special place at the no doubt priceless treasure trove.

Brochure of the Kazakh state academic drama theatre named after M.Auesov, passed to the personnel archive of the President on October 10 this year, and is devoted to staging of the Madina Omarova play “Aktastagy Akhiko”.

In the heart of the drama is the story and the fate of the Japanese boy, trapped in Soviet captivity after World War 2.

“Akhiko from Aktas” is about fate of the one Japanese man, which in Soviet times became a victim of repression and 17-years had been within the walls of the infamous Karlag. Here passed his entire youth. Freed, he settled in Aqtas town, near Karaganda. A few years later Akhiko still went to his homeland, met his father and brothers, but soon returned to Kazakhstan.

It is noteworthy that our president told about the fate of Akhiko during his speech in Japan’s Parliament on November 8, 2016.

“15-year-old Akiko Tetsuro, a resident of Hokkaido, together with the prisoners of war came to the USSR, where as the enemy of the people was sentenced to ten years, although this young man had no fault. Along with other Japanese prisoners, he was serving his sentence to ten years in Kazakhstan, coming out of prison 24-year-old person... 50 years later he was able to return to his historical homeland, met with their relatives. Despite their entreaties, he returned to Kazakhstan, which he considered his home,” said the President of our country to Japanese Deputies.

It is symbolic that the play “Akiko from Aktas” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence. After all, it is about the preservation of cultural and linguistic diversity of our country, strengthening of friendship, interethnic tolerance. The main idea of the drama is the narration on the wide soul of the Kazakh people, the Kazakh hospitable land, where living kindness and compassion.
