Since the beginning of this year, the book collection of the Library of Elbasy has received 237 books. These are publications donated to the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev and the Library of Elbasy.
Of particular interest is the rare publication "Information related to the countries adjacent to the Turkestan military district", published by the printing house of the district command center of the Turkestan military district" in 1899 in the city of Tashkent.

The publication is marked "Restricted document". This is the eighth issue of the so-called closed reports prepared by the staff officers on the most pressing issues of combat training, intelligence, and military service.
The contents include the chapters: "Current events", "Military news", "Some events during the administration of India by Lord Elgin", "England and Russia in the East", "The significance of Persia for British interests", "Unrest in Kashgar", "Kabul workshops", "Information about the plague", "China and its government", "Information about the Indo-British army", "Is it possible for the Russians to invade India".
The fourth volume of the series of Russian translation occupies the major part of the edition by Karl Ritter "Physical geography of Asia". Geography of the countries that are part of Russia or border with it, i.e. Siberia, the Chinese Empire, Turkestan, Independent Tartary and Persia", which serves as a supplement to the third volume and contains new geographical information about the Altai and Sayan mountain systems for the period 1832-1876. This volume includes statistics on the Semipalatinsk Oblast, the Tomsk governorate, the peoples of the Altai and the Sayan Ridge.
