President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was awarded the Russian award "Person of the Year - 2016" in the nomination "International Relations", Zakon.kz reports.
The award was given to the head of state for outstanding achievements in international politics and the strengthening of the Eurasian Economic Union. Russian President Vladimir Putin was also nominated for this award, but in the State Activity nomination for strengthening the position of the Russian state.

In the nomination "Best Film of the Year" the award was given to the film "28 Panfilov's Men". The film is dedicated to the feat of the Soviet soldiers of the 316th Rifle Division under the command of General Panfilov, formed in Alma-Ata.The creator of the film Andrey Shalyopa, receiving the award, also said that this award belongs to all those who took part in the work on the film, and this is a lot of people - “starting from those who made voluntary donations, and there are more than 30 thousand person, and ending with a huge film crew.
