MAYOR OF NUR-SULTAN VISITED THE MUSEUM OF THE LIBRARY OF THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN – ELBASSY

Today, mayor of the capital of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan - Altai Kulginov visited the museum of the Library of Elbassy, located in the former residence of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy. In this building, Nursultan Nazarbayev worked from1997 to 2004 after the relocation of the capital to the center of the country. The atmosphere of the working days of those years is recreated by the office, reception and meeting rooms, preserved in their original form. The head of the city got acquainted with the unique expositions currently presented in the historical building.

Deputy Director of the Library of Elbassy Botagoz Kaipova told about the history and life of the building, and gave the guest a recently published collection of lectures by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy N. A. Nazarbayev. In turn, Altai Kulginov gave the book "Elorda Architects" to the museum. 

The excursion began with familiarization with the symbol of the vital energy of an independent state, the cultural and spiritual wealth of the Kazakh people - the "Tree of Life", located in the very heart of the former residence - the atrium of the museum. In the course of the visit, Altai Kulginov was shown unique exhibits that reflect the main stages of the formation and development of independent Kazakhstan through the prism of the life and work of N.A.Nazarbayev, in particular, the office of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbassy N. A. Nazarbayev, in which the history of the young state was created.

At the exposition "The labor path of N. A. Nazarbayev", the mayor of the capital got acquainted with archival documents that reveal the most important periods of the activity of Elbassy, years of difficult and scrupulous work in order to strengthen Kazakhstan as a peaceful, progressive and prosperous state. A. Kulginov stressed that the museum expositions are of great importance in educating a new generation of Kazakhstanis.
"In the coming year, Kazakhstan will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Independence. Our country is developing dynamically. Each achievement of the state is closely associated with the name of Nursultan Nazarbayev. Therefore, this museum plays a huge role in the patriotic education of the young generation of Kazakhstanis. To know the history of the life of Elbassy means to know the history of independent Kazakhstan. I sincerely congratulate all Kazakhstanis on the coming New Year!
