In October 2017 the employees of the Elbassy library, in accordance with the established tradition, conducted for the capital's schoolchildren exit lectures at the elective course «Astana studying». About 70 pupils of the 6th form of school-gymnasium No. 22 became listener at the lecture from October 16th till October 20th.

The cultural and educational course includes extensive material about Astana, its history, cultural and historical monuments, historical figures.

«In contrast to traditional school courses, the children had an opportunity to get acquainted with unique exhibits and documents on the history of the young capital of independent Kazakhstan from the collections of the Elbassy library, – noted course author head of the Service of scientific-applied research Nazira Musina.

Aigul Rakhimova, a teacher of russian language and literature at school-gymnasium No. 22 in a letter of gratitude to the organizers of the event wrote: « We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the accessible and profound story about the history of our capital. The pupils learned a lot and were interested in the information they received. We hope for further cooperation and wish to the employees of the Elbassy library creative success, interesting material and positive in work».

The training in the unique course will be continued in the next year.
