Within the walls of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a literary evening "Ult maktanyshi" was held, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh writer Gabiden Mustafin.

The participants of the literary evening were teachers and students of the senior classes of school-gymnasium №75 in Astana. 

As part of the event, along with a presentation on the life and work of G. Mustafin, Suleimen Mamet, an honorary worker of education of Kazakhstan, a veteran of Kazakh journalism, a columnist for the republican newspaper Egemen Qazaqstan, shared his memories.

The 9th grade student Zere Kasenova performed the Kazakh folk kyui "Balbyrauyn" and "Yerke sylkym". 

In addition, a book exhibition dedicated to the writer's work was presented as part of the literary hour.

Recall that the goal of the project is to highlight the memorable and significant dates that are inextricably linked with the history, culture and literature of Kazakhstan, using the Library's book stock, popularize the work of poets and writers who have made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakh literature, and increase the role of national literature.
