The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a lesson on the topic: “National currency of Kazakhstan”. The event was attended by senior students of the capital's gymnasium school No. 85 named after Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
During the open lesson, children, on the basis of archival documents, got acquainted with the history of the emergence of the national currency - the tenge, the socio-economic and political situation of the country, in the conditions in which it appeared: from the creation of a secret commission for the development and introduction of the national currency, the issuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the introduction of the national currency” of November 12, 1993 until its introduction into circulation and the creation of a banknote factory and a mint in Kazakhstan.
The class teacher of students noted the need for such events in order to educate patriotism and citizenship of the younger generation.
