INTERNATIONAL EXPERT MEETINGS: DEVELOPMENT ISSUES OF THE BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE IN CHINA

In October this year, the academic officers of the Library of Elbasy took part in the work of The Joint Delegation of Scholars and Think Tankers from Countries along The Belt and Road.

From 12 to 21 October, participating activities organized by the Chinese Centre for Contemporary World Studies (CCCWS) of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist party of China, the acting head of the Department of geopolitics and regional studies Kazbek of Maigeldinov and leading research officer of the strategic research and forecasting Department of the Elbasy Library Aryspai Gabdugaliev visited Shanghai, Zhangjiajie, Beijing.

In Shanghai, the delegates held a meeting with the Deputy Director of the Shanghai office for international relations Mr. Fu Jihon, where they discussed the development of the Belt and Road initiative and participated in the Second international forum "The Belt and Road Initiative" and the problems of global governance: new practices, new ideas". At the plenary session of the forum Kazbek Maigeldinov made a report "Belt and Road: Central Asia and Kazakhstan".

The Summit of leaders of business circles of the Silk Road 2018 "A new era of transparency, new development platform, new beautiful Hunan" was held on 15-16 October in Zhangjiajie. Academic officers of the Library of Elbasy participated in the fourth plenary session "Creation of brands in the implementation of the initiative "Belt and Road".

The event ended in Beijing with a meeting with Mr. Wang Liyong, Deputy Director General of the China center for contemporary world studies (CCCWS). A visit to the Centre on China and globalization and a meeting with the Centre's experts were organized as part of the Seminar "Future of the Belt and road initiative and global governance issues".
