INTERESTING THINGS IN THE MUSEUM

During the summer holidays, the Concept of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization of recreational rest, leisure of children "Children of Kazakhstan – let's fill the summer with joy!" is operative for schoolchildren. The large-scale document envisages a number of events, among them excursions to the Museum of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy. 

For children, visiting museums is always full of new discoveries, especially if it is a modern complex equipped with digital, multimedia technologies of the latest generation. Employees of the Excursion Service of the Elbasy Library, in addition to the program of the excursions themselves, offer students participation in quests.

A quest on the themes "Seven Facets of the Great Steppe" and "Mangilik El" was held for the pupils of the gymnasium school No. 51. The game was held in two buildings of the Library – in the new one, located on the left bank of the capital, and in the former residence of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the right bank. Dividing into groups, the players completed the quest tasks, moving along certain routes on the map.

– This is a fascinating quest, where solving riddles, children find answers with the encrypted names of prominent figures of Kazakhstan. The variety of approaches, questions and quizzes makes the program interesting not only for schoolchildren, but also for adults. Tasks are intertwined with stories and games. This format makes it possible to strengthen the students' knowledge and ingenuity, resourcefulness and ability to think outside the box. And most importantly, teenagers learn to work as a team and achieve goals together", says Gulzira Mendesbayeva, Deputy Director of gymnasium school No. 51.

– The program of quest excursions in the Library of Elbasy has been operating for a long time. The word "quest" means search. Therefore, one of the important qualities that players should have is attentiveness. In puzzles, riddles and codes, keywords related to the history of Kazakhstan's Independence are classified. Most of the tasks contain the main stages of our country's development over the past three decades", says Botagoz Ayapbergenova, an expert at the Library of Elbasy.

School holidays have just begun, which means that soon the Library of Elbasy will again be visited by delegations of schoolchildren. New knowledge and interesting quests about the history of the homeland, the independence of the state and the activities of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev await young pathfinders.
