A special place in the exhibitions presented in the Library of Elbassy is occupied by a set of interactive tables. In fact, they are an electronic textbook with all the necessary attributes. With their help, visitors can get acquainted with the history of independent Kazakhstan, facts from the life and work of its First President N. Nazarbayev in an accessible form.
In addition, interactive tables divided into six themes "Kazakhstan patriot", "The power of a choice word", "In the heart of Eurasia", "Energy of change", "Initiative and partnership", "Peace and harmony", are actively used in the course of training seminars for school students and students of colleges and universities to study the diversity of conceptual ideas of the President. The presentation of information is diverse: archival documents, infographics, photographs, and videos.
One of the multimedia tables is called "The power of a choice word".
– In the Great Steppe, the word was most valued. The most respected were those who could speak beautifully and fluently. One of the Russian researchers of the Kazakh language V. Radlov noted that "Both the Sultan and the commoner, like princes, speak beautifully, smoothly, harmoniously and richly." The famous Polish exile B. Zalessky also wrote: "Kazakhs are eloquent, and they themselves consider it a sign of good upbringing or noble origin." Another pre-revolutionary researcher, N. Malitsky also notes the eloquence of the steppe people: "Kazakhs are talkative, eloquent, witty and cheerful." ... Even their verbal promises were well kept. On this occasion, the Kazakhs said: "The spoken word is like a bullet shot", said Akbota Khamitova, a leading researcher of the Social, Humanitarian and Educational Projects Department of the Library, about the content of this interactive table.
The value of the word increased due to the fact that among the steppe people there were strong traditions of oral transmission of information. The weight of the word and the power of verbal address increased noticeably at crucial moments in history. The world treasury of literary words includes the works of Abai, Shakarim, a starry galaxy of Kazakh thinkers and writers.
Traditions of respect for the word have come down to our days. One of the recognized speakers, experts of the word is Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev. On the one hand, he absorbed oratory art from childhood from his relatives, surroundings and the village inhabitants. In the fire of the metallurgical plant, in the battles of political and public work, he hardened as a speaker who knows the value of the word, as a theorist who consistently develops arguments, political or professional credo. He has published more than 40 books, some of them are collections of articles and interviews, united by a single concept.
The content of the "Power of a choice word" table represents some of them. One of the first fundamental works of N. Nazarbayev was the book "Steel profile", published in 1985, on the eve of perestroika. It is dedicated to the history of creating a metallurgical base in the Republic.
The book "Without Right and Left" is an interview of the President of the Kazakh SSR N. Nazarbayev, which he gave to a journalist of the publishing house "Molodaya gvardiya" in Almaty in March-April 1991. Here, the Head of state tells about his childhood, his ancestors, relatives, and the years of formation. In particular, there are reflections on the further development of Kazakhstan and the USSR in the near future.
Among other works, I would like to draw attention to one of the first, which outlines the views of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the founder of modern Kazakhstani statehood - "Strategy for the formation and development of Kazakhstan as a sovereign state". This work was written in 1992 and the main epigraph of this publication is chosen as follows: "We must take this path if we seriously want to rise from our knees and live normally."
