INFORMATION LETTER

       We invite on August 25, 2014 to take part in work of the international scientific-practical conference devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Museum in modern society. Searches of new ways of development».

During the conference is supposed the work of the sections in the following directions:
• Museums, libraries, archives as institutes of keeping of cultural heritage.
• Museum and science: Partnership. Experience. Prospects.
• Role of museums in formation of historical consciousness of young generation.

Conference purposes
• Discussion of the topical issues connected with development of museums at the present stage, their scientific and educational potential.
• Development of professional mobility, exchange of experience between domestic and foreign experts in the field of modern technologies in the sphere of culture, science, art and education.
• Development of modern interactive types of museum activity for attraction attention of youth audience to historical-cultural heritage.

The program of conference provides:
1. Theoretical part (speech with report);
2. Practical part (master class with giving certificates to participants);
3. Opening of the exhibition devoted to the 10th anniversary of the Museum.

Conference languages – Kazakh, Russian and English.

All expenses of conference participants from other regions are made by directed party.
There is planned the edition of the collection of materials by the beginning of conference.

For participation in work of conference it is necessary to send the following materials to the organizing committee till May 1, 2014:

1 . Application for participation in conference work (form 1 is applied).
2 . Texts of reports by e-mail or on the electronic medium (form 2 is applied).
3 . Name of file including a text, has to coincide to a surname of the original author in Kazakh, Russian or English. Questionnaire has to be a separate file with the same name, after an underscore to specify – questionnaire / anketa.
4 . The original works having scientific and applied value, corresponding to the directions and not published somewhere earlier are taken.
5 . We ask to keep the specified requirements to the text. In case of non-compliance with requirements to registration of electronic version of the report’s text the Organizing committee reserves the right to reject a report from the publication.
6 . Volume – till 6 pages in the Microsoft Word.
7 . Font: type - Times New Roman, size – 12, single interline interval; paragraph – 1,25 cм, space of the paragraph is set automatically.
8 . Fields of spaces: top and bottom – 20 mm, left – 30 mm, right – 15 mm.
9 . Report name – capital letters a bold-face type, alignment on the center.
10 . Lower through one space, on the right edge: Full name of an author – italics, bold-face type (for each author – at first a surname, space, then initials with space between them). On the next line it is symmetric on the right edge – to specify the current status (position), organization name, scientific degree – italics; on the next line it is symmetric – to specify country and city.
11 . In the text a footnote are designated by square brackets with the instruction in them serial number of a source according to the list and through a comma – numbers of the page (pages), for example: [4, p. 89].
12 . It is obligatory to write the list of the used literature on quoted sources. The list takes place at the end of the text and separates in the empty line. Sources in the list are specified in process of citing in the text. Example of execution:

13 . Schemes, photos, drawings, scanned images, etc. – to present as separate files in JPG, charts, diagrams – in Excel. Names of files have to correspond to names of drawings, schemes, charts, etc. in the report text. The name and numbers of drawings are specified under drawings, names and numbers of tables – over tables (alignment – on the centre). Tables, schemes, drawings, formulas, graphics shouldnt be beyond the specified fields (font in tables and in drawings – not less than 12).
14 . Quotes are designated by a sign “”; in specified dates of century are designated – by Arab, years – by Roman figures.
15 . List of abbreviations takes place at the end of the report text with interpretation of abbreviations in alphabetical order.
16 . Number of pages: situation – in the bottom of the page, alignment – on the right.
17 . Literature in the form of footnotes at the end, paragraphs by space are forbidden.
18 . Manual hyphenation arent allowed.

Reporter on section has to present computer presentation of performance in MS PowerPoint program. Please address all technical questions to the organizing committee or to technical group. Copying of files of presentations at participants of conference from data carriers will STRICTLY come to the end in 30 minutes prior to section work. The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse demonstration of materials in which are used the non-standard fonts causing incorrect display or creating problems at demonstration (failure of computer, emergency closing of programs).

Everyone can submit bench-top (poster) reports.
Time for speech at section meeting – 5-7 min.
The organizer committee reserves the right to reject materials that do not correspond to the conference theme or requirements.
