«HISTORICAL CODE OF INDEPENDENT KAZAKHSTAN» AND «DIPLOMATIC GIFTS AS PART OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF MANKIND».

On November 19, the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy hosted the opening ceremony of two exhibitions: "Historical code of independent Kazakhstan" and "Diplomatic gifts as part of the cultural heritage of mankind". Exhibitions from the archive, book and museum collections of the Library of Elbassy were prepared as part of a series of events dedicated to Day of the First President and Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scientists, famous figures of culture and arts.

– This year is marked for us by a number of anniversaries, many of which we had to celebrate online. So today I am extremely happy to see our dear guests here. It is symbolic that exhibitions dedicated to public holidays and directly related to the name of Elbassy are opened here, in the first residence of the First President of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan. ..On the eve of these holidays, the opportunity to become acquainted with the most important pages of the revival and strengthening of national identity and historical memory of the people gives us an impulse to create. I am sure that much of what is featured in our expositions will resonate in your hearts because we are contemporaries of the greatest achievements and transformations in terms of scale and consequences", said Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov, Director of the Library of Elbassy, congratulating all participants on the upcoming holidays.

- I would like to express my gratitude to the management and staff of the Library of the First President for organizing such interesting and important exhibitions. This year we are celebrating the 29th anniversary of independence. And all this time we live in peace and harmony, develop, move towards our goals. I think no one will deny that all the achievements of Kazakhstan during this period are associated with the name of Nursultan Nazarbayev, his ideas, decisions, initiatives and policies. Thanks to him, our flag is known in all developed countries of the world. Our task and the task of future generations of Kazakhstanis is to preserve this heritage and increase it", said Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Member of the Academic Council of the Library of Elbassy Yersultan Bekturganov.

- I congratulate the organizers on opening two exhibitions simultaneously! It is noteworthy that one of them looks back to the past, goes back to the roots of our country's history, while the other presents diplomatic gifts as part of the cultural heritage. These gifts always reflect the relations of the parties, the political situation in the world, the topic of negotiations, etc. The diplomatic talent of Elbassy brought Kazakhstan fame in the international arena, the reputation of a responsible and predictable partner, the attraction of investments to the country, chairmanship in the largest international cooperation organizations and much more. The name of Nursultan Abishevich is highly respected all over the world", said Dastan Eleukenov, Advisor to the Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition "Historical code of independent Kazakhstan" features photo, video and text documents showing the contribution of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbassy N. Nazarbayev to the revival and development of the historical and cultural heritage of the Great Steppe during the implementation of program documents for the study and promotion of the past.

The museum collection of the Library of Elbassy contains amazing exhibits, the significance of which is due to deep symbolism, involvement in historical events, and performance features. More than 70 different and often rare works of watchmaking will be presented at the exhibition "Diplomatic gifts as part of the cultural heritage of mankind". The collection is based on gifts presented to N. Nazarbayev by the heads of foreign states and governments, international organizations and foundations, foreign delegations, residents of Kazakhstan in recognition of the international authority of the country and its leader. At the exhibition, you can see unique samples of watchmaking, in particular, products of world-famous European manufactories: Atmos, Hermle, Bernard Richards Manufacture, Blancpain, etc. Visitors may be particularly interested in the watch of the famous composer N. Tlendiev, given to N. Nazarbayev by the composer's widow; the "Steam Locomotive" clock refers to the first steam engines of the industrial revolution of the second half of the XVIII century; the Atmos clock is the only clock in the world with a calendar up to the year 3000, etc. Engravings and stamps reflecting commemorative events give a special historical value to the clocks. For example, the "Raketa" watch is an interesting material source on the biography of N. Nazarbayev during the period when he led the Kazakh SSR.
