On December 12, 2008 in the Dome Hall of the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place the municipal scientific and practical conference «State symbols».
The participants of the conference – are the eminent persons of science and culture, the deputies of Maslikhat, representatives of local officials and the public of Astana. They discussed the creation of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, their role and importance in the formation of Kazakhstan's patriotism and active citizenship, advocacy and the correct application of the state symbols.
The organizers of the conference – are the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a public association «The center of social and cultural initiatives» and Office of the domestic policy of Astana. To this event they released brochure «The state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan». Methodical information received wide response from the participants and it was recommended as a handbook to help teachers of secondary and higher education institutions.
