Today, March 11, 2020, at the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov opened the visiting exhibition of the Library of Elbassy "N.Nazarbayev – the architect of Eurasian integration". The event was held as part of the working visit of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the capital of Russia. The main purpose of the exhibition is a detailed display of the role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbassy in the history of the origin and development of Eurasian cooperation in the context of Russian-Kazakh relations, as the core of the Eurasian idea, as well as the prospects for the development of this idea in a new global dimension.
"The exhibition is held for the first time at Moscow State University, which holds a special place in the history of Kazakh-Russian cooperation. It was here in 1994 that N. Nazarbayev first expressed the idea of Eurasian integration to the Russian scientific community. The exhibition "N. Nazarbayev – the architect of Eurasian integration" presents unique documents from the Personal archive of the President, his manuscripts, notes made by him in the course of state activities, reflecting the history and stages of implementation of the Eurasian integration. A special place is taken by the state awards of Elbassy - this is a sign of high recognition of his services in the development of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Russia", said Director of the Library of Elbassy, Doctor of political science, Professor Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov.
Collected and systematized archival, book, clothing sets from the collection of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbassy form the unique research, analytical, cultural, educational, informational platform on the history of bilateral relations of Kazakhstan and Russia, the birth of the idea of Eurasian integration and cooperation between the two countries in education and science.
"The exhibition gives a deep idea of the course of life that the modern Eurasian idea makes, thanks to N. Nazarbayev. He was able to unite his colleagues in other countries in the name of making all states, including Kazakhstan, better. This is an idea that has a great effect, both economic and political. Moreover, here, at the exhibition, the audience can appreciate how the Eurasian idea was not just created in practice, and see photos of people who participated in this process. These are both heads of state and employees of Departments that ensured the implementation of the Eurasian idea", said Director of the Kazakhstan branch of Moscow State University, Doctor of economics, Professor Alexander Sidorovich.
The event was attended by prominent political and public figures of the two countries, including State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Kusherbayev, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Aymagambetov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia E. Kosherbaev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation A. Fursenko, Rector of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov V. Sadovnichy, as well as students, undergraduates, doctoral students and faculty of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
The exhibition "N. Nazarbayev - the architect of Eurasian integration" consists of three sections:
1. Kazakhstan-Russia: a standard of interstate relations;
2. Eurasian Union: from idea to practice;
3. The intellectual nation of the future.
The section "Kazakhstan-Russia: a standard of interstate relations" based on archival materials from the Personal archive of the President shows the history and milestones of Kazakh-Russian cooperation as the core of Eurasian integration. The exposition of this section presents a collection of state and public awards of the Russian Federation, which were awarded to N. Nazarbayev in different years of his activity as the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a set of gifts of N. Nazarbayev from state and public figures of Russia, as well as a book collection with inscriptions.
The section "Eurasian Union: from idea to practice" illustrates the 25-year history of the Eurasian Economic Union through the prism of the activities of its initiator and active proponent - N. Nazarbayev. The exhibition will be based on archival, illustrative, book and Museum collections from the Library of Elbassy.
Materials of the section "The intellectual nation of the future" tells about the annual meetings of the Elbassy with talented youth, students, young scientists, young entrepreneurs, where N. Nazarbayev voices his strategic ideas and shares plans for the development of youth policy.
The exhibition presents materials that tell about the state policy in the field of education and science, which from the first years of independence was aimed at consistent development and integration into the international educational space. This section presents N. Nazarbayev's robes from leading Kazakh and Russian universities, as well as other memorable gifts from educational institutions. A special place in this section is occupied by a set of archival and museum materials from the collection of the Library of Elbassy, associated with the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov: gifts and public awards, photos, theses and lectures of N. Nazarbayev at MSU, as well as a set of books from the Kazakhstan branch of the Moscow State University.
The exhibition "N. Nazarbayev - the architect of Eurasian integration" allows you to make reference to the main political initiatives of N. Nazarbayev, which, thanks to their content, have found a positive response from the world community and brought tangible results for the whole world today.
