THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN – ELBASSY NURSULTAN NAZARBAYEV VISITED LOMONOSOV MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY.

During the visit, Nursultan Nazarbayev met with the rector of the university V. Sadovnichiy. Also he attended an exposition of the exhibition presented by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbassy, dedicated to the Eurasian integration process. Lastly, First President signed honorable guestbook at the museum of the university.

At the conversation with Rector V. Sadovnichiy, Elbassy Nursultan Nazarbayev mentioned greater credibility and high international status of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

“The University is still stands as one of the biggest and major educating institution of Russia, which prepares specialists in relevant areas” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The First President of Kazakhstan payed an attention to the development of integrational processes within post-Soviet space in detail.

“During my speech at LMSU in March of 1994, I proposed an idea on creation of the Eurasian economic union. Where, I presented the concept on further cooperation plans. Then in 2014 we signed the Treaty on establishment of the Eurasian economic union” said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Elbassy mentioned that despite all the obstacles, the trade value keep increasing among Eurasian economic union member states.     

“More than forty states had showed willingness to join the union. The reason is that, it is quite impossible to live without an integration in a modern world. Because of, an integration will create a new opportunities for further development of states. I think that EAEU has good perspective. Therefore, we all face big amount of work” said First President of Kazakhstan.

Also, Nursultan Nazarbayev noted development rate of the LMSU branch located in Nur-Sultan, capital of Kazakhstan.

“According to the agreements with the President of Russia, we had opened a branch of the LMSU in the capital of Kazakhstan. Nowadays, size of this branch is enlarging and it led to the lack of the square area. Therefore, we will give an educational building with 20 thousand square meters to the LMSU branch in Nur-Sultan” said Elbassy.

As stated in the official information of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an educational building will be based in Sary-Arka district and will have an ability to educate over than 800 students. Moreover, new building of the Kazakhstani LMSU branch will increase a development of the scientific-research potential of the university.

“If we want to move forward and be in line with modern requirements of the science technological advancements, we should work on the development of education. Thus, we founded “Nazarbayev University”. In order to prepare perspective students, we built 22 intellectual schools around the state and graduates of these schools participate in international competitions” said First President of Kazakhstan.

On the other side, the LMSU rector Victor Sadovnichiy expressed an acknowledgement for the visit to Nursultan Nazarbayev and noted special role of the Elbassy in strengthening integration processes in Eurasian region.

“I highly appreciate Your attitude to our university and admire Your contribution to the development of EAEU. You made exact and right decisions. And all the time oriented only towards cooperation” said rector of LMSU.

At the end of the meeting, the honorable doctor of LMSU Nursultan Nazarbayev was awarded by “Star of Moscow University”, the highest award of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
