THE EXHIBITION «MAN-MADE SYMBOLS OF GRACE, HARMONY AND BEAUTY» OPENED

On January 19, in the new building of the museum of the Library of Elbasy, the opening of the collection exhibition "Man-made symbols of grace, harmony and beauty" from the museum collection of the Library took place.

The event was attended by state and public figures, heads of national cultural centers, cultural and art figures, young people, as well as ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland, and Japan.

– The presented exhibits are not just objects of art, they are important material evidence of the multi-vector foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These are gifts from the heads of states and governments, international organizations, and the world-leading companies. I would like to emphasize that each exhibit of this exhibition has a separate history of the development of interstate relations. The strategy of peace and friendship that Elbasy modelled and implements is part of his political legacy. It not only strengthened the authority of our state around the world but also became a model for conducting political dialogue between countries, said Bakytzhan Temirbolat, Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, opening the exhibition.

Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Amerkhan Rakhimzhanov stressed that the collections of exhibits, consisting of diplomatic gifts to the First President of our country, have a great scientific, cultural and representative potential.

– There are many layers of information behind just one exhibit: about the object itself, about the giver, about the circumstances in which it was presented. I am sure that today's guests and all visitors of this exhibition will experience the pleasure of contemplating the works of art presented by masters of decorative and applied art from different countries, he said.

The exhibition is the result of museum studies within the framework of the scientific project "Museum Collection". The exhibition presents more than 50 vases, diverse in material, manufacturing technique, purpose, shape, and ornament. Vases made of porcelain, ceramics, glass, metal represent the schools of masters of Turkey, China, Russia, Europe, Central Asia, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries.  They reflect the peculiarities of the economic system, religious beliefs, moral and ethical norms of the peoples, which have been embodied in the various forms of these vessels. Vases convey a rich historical context, reflect the philosophy of spiritual and material life, which determined the techniques, aesthetics of their manufacture and use. These exhibits are only a small part of the extensive thematic collection of vases of the Library of the Elbasy.

– The exhibition is fantastic, of a high scale. All these exhibits emphasize the role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in the international arena, the importance of his foreign policy and international activities. Thank you for the invitation, I am really touched, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea Koo Hong-seok.
