- Dear friends! Guests! Our young artists! I am glad to welcome all of you at the next exhibition "Tugan olkem". Exhibitions within the framework of the republican program "Tugan Olkem" are held for the third year in a row with the assistance of the Library of Elbasy and the UNESCO Children's Art School-Club of Nur-Sultan. This project is deeply symbolic, as it opens the anniversary year for Kazakhstan – the year of the 30th anniversary of our independence. And our young artists, who are now 15-16 years old, were born during the period of independence. Their whole life, childhood and creativity are connected with our sovereign Kazakhstan. I believe that those achievements, and today we see them at the exhibition, these masterpieces of our young geniuses, are largely the result of our independence. This exhibition symbolizes energy, beauty, grace, youth, said Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat, opening the event.

The republican program "Tugan olkem", which appeared as a response to the program article of N. A. Nazarbayev "Rukhani Zhangyru", is aimed at identifying young talents and popularizing the work of organizations of additional education in the republic. The program has been implemented since 2018, during this time the Library of Elbasy featured exhibitions of diploma works of graduates of Art Schools of Semey, Shymkent, Pavlodar, Ekibastuz, Karaganda, Shakhtinsk and Kokshetau.

– This is a wonderful event for us, artists. Because we see that a decent shift is growing, a beautiful young generation. This exhibition is unusual in that half of the works are made remotely. It is hard to imagine how difficult it was for both teachers and students. However, look at how high the level of work is. There are paintings, graphics, and decorative and applied arts here… We want to thank the organizers that even in such a difficult time we have the opportunity to see these works, - emphasized the art critic, member of the board of the Union of Artists of Nur-Sultan Dinara Nuger.

The Children's Art School - UNESCO Club in Nur-Sultan was founded in 1983. Over the years, the school has acquired its own traditions and has accumulated pedagogical experience in the field of art education.

The school has numerous diplomas, certificates of prestigious competitions for children and youth creativity in the near and far abroad. In 2008, the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO awarded the school the status of a UNESCO Club. In 2017, according to the results of the city competition for a grant of the Mayor of the city, the school was recognized as the "Best Organization of Additional Education".

– I am very pleased to hear so many pleasant, warm words addressed to our school and its students. I would like to thank everyone here for their time and attention. And I also thank the Library of Elbasy for the support you are giving us. We have been cooperating for many years and organize a large number of interesting major events. Many thanks to both the management and the staff. And of course, I want to congratulate our graduates on the opening of the exhibition. Despite everything, it took place. I would also like to note the work of our teachers, who have invested in these children all their love for creativity and children, said Aliya Utepova, Deputy Director of the Children's Art School - UNESCO Club Nur-Sultan.

The authors of some of the works presented at the exhibition told about their paintings.
Ruslan Shegay:
- While working on my painting "Evening Astana", I was inspired by the views from my window. Especially in the summer. Summer sunsets are always very different, sometimes soft, sometimes a little gloomy, but always very rich in color. In this work, I tried to convey the manner of the French painters of the nineteenth century, but depicting a modern city. I wanted to show our city, its skyscrapers that we are building to tell the world that we also exist. But our country is primarily associated with the wealth and beauty of our nature.
Miras Madiev:
– One of the summer holidays I spent in the village with relatives. And I decided to draw the mountains, the nature surrounding their house. To convey the children's love for the world and nature. I wanted to capture it in my memory and in the picture.

The exhibition will run until February 25, 2021.
