EXHIBITION «COLLAGE OF THOUGHTS» BY GULBARAM ASKAROVA IN THE PROJECT «CULTURAL CODE OF INDEPENDENCЕ»

The Art Gallery of the Library of Elbasy continues to display the works of extraordinary authors, forming a recognizable code of culture of multinational Kazakhstan.

The opening of the exhibition "Collage of Thoughts" by Gulbaram Askarova, a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place today.

The peculiarity of the exhibition is that the work of an artist-teacher working in a children's environment is featured. The ability to create and empathize with the creativity of their pupils is a rare gift that allows forming the continuity of traditions and innovations in the culture of any country.

Kulyaisha Aktaeva, head of the Service of registration and storage of museum values in the Library of Elbasy, congratulated the author of paintings and guests of the event on the opening of the exhibition, noting that the event was organized in the framework of the project "Cultural Code of Independence".

"The opening of the exhibition is dated to significant events in the life of the country – the Day of the First President, the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan, because a genuine renaissance of the culture of our country, one of the representatives of which is our author, would not have been possible without the historical choice of 1991.  This choice defined independence not only as a political category, forming the independence of spirituality and creativity. Culture today is a powerful tool for the spiritual and aesthetic development of the individual, the formation of national unity and the integration of the country into the world community,"  said K.Aktayeva, having handed a letter of thanks to Gulbaram Askarova on behalf of the management of the Library of Elbasy and the book "Nomads" by I. Esenberlin.

The exhibition features about 40 paintings by the artist, made in the technique of "collage". Collage is interesting because it creates work with fragments, elements of the whole, which often in an involuntary combination, like a kaleidoscope, add up to the overall picture, forming a new meaning, new visual structures.

"This is my first significant exhibition. I thank the Library of Elbasy, the administration of the Art School, teachers who have always supported me. What you will see today is not a classic, it is something that, I hope, will give you an impetus to reflection, so that you can see that "collage of thoughts" from which you can learn something important and valuable for yourself, and perhaps some will see themselves in these paintings," the author of the works G. Askarova said.

Gulbaram Askarova is a teacher of fine arts at the UNESCO Children's Art School-Club in Nur-Sultan. She was born in 1978 in the Aktobe region. Since 2010 she has been a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The artist is a many-time participant and prize-winner of national and international fine art competitions.
