THE ELBASY LIBRARY HOSTED THE INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM «WE ARE THE PATRIOTS OF THE COUNTRY»

On June 4, 2021, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy hosted the International Youth Forum "WE ARE THE PATRIOTS OF THE COUNTRY" dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Forum is organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation and the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

More than 300 people took part in the forum: representatives of youth organizations of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, USA, Turkey, France, youth leaders from the regions of Kazakhstan, young Deputies of Parliament, regional and city Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entrepreneurs, scientists, athletes, alumni of the program "Bolashak", winners of the project "100 new faces of Kazakhstan", volunteers and representatives of creative youth.

The First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev addressed a welcome letter to the participants.

“Young people are the driving force of society, the hope of the nation. Over the years of Independence, our country formed and raised a whole generation of progressively thinking and educated young people. ... As you know, the competitiveness of any nation is measured primarily by the quality of education. You must be able to quickly adapt to the demands of the present and be able to withstand difficulties. The quality of human capital is the most important trend now and after the crisis. A country with smart, intelligent, educated and qualified youth will always have great opportunities and a bright future,” the forum moderator, Director of the Library of Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat, read out the appeal noting the high importance of the forum held on the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

- This year our country celebrates the 30th Anniversary of its Independence. Over the years, Kazakhstan has achieved significant results, by becoming a strong, prosperous, democratic state enjoying significant prestige in the international arena. According to the deep conviction of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev, the new generation of Kazakhstan, on whose energy, knowledge and patriotism the future of the country largely depends is the greatest achievement of Kazakhstan. In turn, the Head of State K.K. Tokayev notes that the further development of our Independence and the prosperity of the country is the sacred duty of the present generation. We rely on you, you are the future of our country, - said Bakytzhan Temirbolat in his welcoming speech.

The State Secretary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Krymbek Kusherbayev emphasized the words of the Head of State that it is young people of Kazakhstan who should be at the forefront of patriotism.

– He named a precise and clear formula of national patriotism – it is knowledge of the people’s history, respect for the country, constant self-development, honesty and efficiency. ... President K.K. Tokayev also outlined the key role of youth in the technological and spiritual modernization of the country, considering the growth of the political consciousness of young people as a necessary and powerful potential of the country, a source of an alternative, progressive view of economic and socio-political processes. Today it is obvious that the patriotic education of the young generation, the foundations of which were laid by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N.A. Nazarbayev, acts as an integral part of the development of civil society on the path of its movement towards sustainable and stable progress, - said the State Secretary.

Today, Kazakhstan successfully implements state projects to support and stimulate youth in various fields: the Bolashak international educational scholarship initiated by the First President - Elbasy, the presidential youth personnel reserve, youth employment programs and many other projects. The introduction of a mandatory 30 percent quota for women and youth under 29 years old on the electoral party lists of political parties deserves special attention. The State Youth Prize "Daryn" has been awarded for many years. In addition, on behalf of the Head of State, this year a grant "Tauelsizdik Urpaktary" (Heirs of Independence) was established for talented youth.

- For centuries, young people around the world have been proving their progressiveness, their readiness to change themselves and the world around them not in word, but with their work. Today, from the new wave of Kazakhstan, everyone knows the names of the young scientist Bolat Sultankulov, who developed the express test for covid, the chess player Zhansaya Abdumalik, the Grammy winner Imanbek Zeykenov, and the director Aisultan Seitov, . ... Any of the topical issues of concern to our society is somehow connected with youth - every third person in Kazakhstan is a young person under the age of 35. The First President of Kazakhstan, Party Leader always emphasizes that "The future of the country and the nation directly depends on the youth." That is why “Nur Otan” pays special attention to the young generation of the country. Literally in the very first year after the formation of the Party, “Nur Otan” created the “Jas Otan” Youth Wing, which now numbers more than 100 thousand young Kazakhstan people in its ranks. Just a week ago, the Bureau of the Party's Political Council approved the Roadmap for the implementation of the Zhastar - Otanha! until 2025. It reflects 5 main directions related to quality education, employment, support for young families and affordable housing, personal development and leisure, - said Bauyrzhan Baibek.

- The President declared 2020 the Year of Volunteers. Volunteers have made an invaluable contribution to the fight against the global pandemic. More than 600 events were organized together with the capital's volunteers and more than 170 thousand people were assisted. At the moment, in the city of Nur-Sultan, the City Volunteer Headquarters is working. In honor of the 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, within the framework of the "Marathon of Good Deeds" campaign, the City Volunteer Headquarters plans to hold more than 700 campaigns, ” - said Altay Kulginov, Akim of the city of Nur-Sultan.

- To live in a bright future, today's youth need to achieve their goals with intelligence, hard work and perseverance. We need to continue to work hard and tirelessly in order to see our country in the ranks of prosperous, competitive and recognized countries throughout the world in the 21st century. The country creates all the opportunities and conditions for the development of youth. The implementation of youth policy will lead the country to innovation and intellectual competition,” - said Serik Yegizbayev, acting minister of information and social development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The plenary meeting was also attended by Deputy Executive Director of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation Alkey Margulanuly, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madi Akhmetov, Head of the Secretariat of the Youth Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Alexey Karpenko, President of the “Center for International Programs” JSC Ainur Karbozova, The Soloist of the Astana Opera Maria Mudryak, member of the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, military doctor Saulet Kaldashov.

Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Union of Youth” Pavel Krasnorutsky made a report "Organization of work with youth to preserve the historical memory of the feat of the Soviet people during the Second World War through design and program activities", the head of the Youth Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic Nazgul Zholdoshova spoke about the activities of the project "Youth parliament ”, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the NGO“ Belarusian Republican Youth Union ”Dmitry Voronyuk presented a report on the topic:“ Patriotic education in modern conditions. Experience of the youth organization of Belarus ”.

During the forum, the addresses of Akim of Almaty city Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, Akims of Aktobe region Ondassyn Urazalin, Akims of the East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov, Akim of the Kostanay region Archimed Mukhambetov and Akim of the Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev to youth leaders were heard online.

Panel sessions “Dialogue of successful youth in the modern world” and “The role of youth in the modernization of the development of cultural, humanitarian, innovative processes” were held in the “Open space” format.

A resolution was adopted at the end of the forum.
