With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, cochlear implantation operations for people with hearing impairments have once again been performed
With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, operations were performed on a group of people with hearing impairments within the framework of the Cochlear Implantation Program. These individuals with congenital and acquired hearing impairments are mostly children of various age groups.
Note that a cochlear implant is a complex medical electronic device that is installed in people with congenital and acquired hearing disorders. At the first stage, these persons are examined and the feasibility of performing this operation is determined, then a surgical operation is performed, and the next stage is rehabilitation.
It should be reminded that in 2015 the Heydar Aliyev Foundation implemented the Cochlear Implantation Program. At the next stage, with the support of the Foundation, operations on cochlear implantation were continued. To date, more than 200 people have undergone cochlear implantation operations across the country as part of the Foundation program.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation provides insulin to diabetic patients under the age of 18
Within the framework of the project "The highest care for diabetic children" of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, patients with diabetes mellitus under the age of 18 are provided with insulin preparations and insulin delivery pens throughout the country. Within the framework of the project initiated by the President of the Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, appropriate medicines are provided to diabetics through the Azerbaijan Diabetes Society.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which is directly involved in solving the health problems of the population, has been implementing "The highest care for diabetic children" project since December 2004. To support government care for people with diabetes, children and adolescents are regularly supplied with insulin preparations and insulin delivery pens.
International Mother Language Day at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus
As part of the series of events dedicated to International Mother Language Day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus held a demonstration of the interactive exhibition "Z vyshyni vyalikaga yubileyu: Melezh i Shamyakin prysvyachayetsa" from February 22 to 23, 2021.
The exhibition was organized by the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of the National Film Studio "Belarusfilm", the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art and the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature.
The visitors of the interactive exhibition were foreign ambassadors and envoys-advisers. Among them were Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the CIS and European countries, including the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the French Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, the State of Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the People's Republic of China, the State of Palestine, the Syrian Arab Republic, the Swiss Confederation, the Republic of Estonia and Japan.
Awarding of the winners of "Art of the Book – 2020"
Within the framework of the XXVIII Minsk International Book Fair, held from February 18 to 21, 2021, on February 20, the award ceremony of the winners of the national contest "The Art of the Book", organized by the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, took place.
The National Prize "The Art of the Book" is held annually within the framework of the Minsk International Book Fair to award the best publishing professionals. The winners of the 60th contest "The Art of the Book" this year were 31 publishing houses, which presented more than two hundred books.
The film "The Arctic. On the edge of the Earth" - at the meeting of the Presidential Library Film Glub
On February 6, 2021, as part of the "Day of the Arctic", a meeting of the Film Club was held in the Presidential Library, where the film "The Arctic. On the edge of the Earth" was shown.
Director and film operator Anastasia Korableva (video channel NSU LIFE of Novosibirsk State University) in 2016, together with an expedition that included teachers, graduate students and students of the Geological and Geophysical Faculty of the University, spent a month at the research station "Samoylovsky Island" beyond the Arctic Circle, in the Lena River delta: "In the film, I wanted to reveal a lot of topics. First, to tell in detail about the paleomagnetic method, about the research conducted by students, postgraduates and employees of NSU; about how exciting, challenging, and simple it is at the same time. Secondly, to show the life of polar geologists. Third, I wanted to reveal the beauty and meaning of the profession, to understand what attracts people, why they devote their lives to geology. And, of course, I wanted to show the audience the uniqueness of the nature of the Russian Arctic."

Yeltsin Center opened an exhibition in the underground
On February 15, the photo exhibition "Time in the way: how we built the metro", a joint project of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center and the Yekaterinburg Metro, was opened on the platform of the "Ploshchad 1905" metro station in Yekaterinburg, dedicated to two anniversary dates: the 90th anniversary of the birth of the first president of Russia and the 30th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk metro. The construction of the metro in Sverdlovsk was initiated in the late seventies by the first secretary of the Sverdlovsk Regional Committee, Boris Yeltsin.
The temporary exhibition in the metro includes more than forty photographs, most of which are published for the first time. The photo exhibition at the station "Ploshchad 1905" can be seen until March 31. Sightseeing tours of the exhibition with comments from the curators are planned, and in early April, it is planned to move the photos to the Uralskaya station.
The project "What to be?" at the Yeltsin Center Children's Club
On January 29, the Children's Club "18 –" of the Yeltsin Center launched a joint project with the radio station "Echo of Moscow" in Yekaterinburg, "What to be?", which will help teenagers get an idea of various professions during communication with craft professionals and short masterclasses.
The Children's Center "18 -" located on the third floor works not only for kids, but also for schoolchildren of primary and senior grades. The children here have the opportunity to communicate, sing in the choir, study additionally in various educational programs, and now also get acquainted with professionals in various spheres of modern life, so that they can already begin to decide on the choice of a speciality.
It is expected that representatives of various professions will come to the meetings within the framework of the project "What to be?", who will tell about themselves, the peculiarities of their work, answer questions from the audience and conduct practical exercises, where participants can try themselves in the role of one or another specialist.
