Director of the Library of Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat welcomed the event and stressed that Kazakhstan, having gained Independence, followed its own unique path, realizing its potential in various spheres of human activity – scientific, cultural and sports. The head of the institution spoke about the large-scale project of the Library of Elbasy "Pride of Kazakhstan" to the 30th anniversary of the country's Independence, within the framework of which the current event was held. The project started on March 8 this year with an interactive meeting with the 30 best female graduates of the international program "Bolashak".

"The project "Pride of Kazakhstan" was designed so that our fellow citizens could learn more about the biography, creative work and the path to success of talented compatriots, who are rightfully proud of our whole country. I am sure that today's event will give a new impetus to our cooperation in promoting and explaining the state policy in the field of physical culture and sports, initiatives and ideas of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev in the formation of the ideology of a healthy nation", B. Temirbolat said.

The famous Kazakhstan boxer, world champion in 2005 and 2007, Olympic champion in 2012, now Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Sapiyev, welcoming the participants of the event, noted that the work of the Museum of Sports Glory will increase the patriotism of young sports talents who will adequately represent Kazakhstan in the international arena.
Within the framework of the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy and the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The document was signed by Director of the Library of Elbasy Bakytzhan Temirbolat and Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Sapiyev.
After that, the ceremony of handing over personal belongings of Olympic champions and famous athletes of Kazakhstan to the Museum of the Library of Elbasy took place. Kazakhstan figure skater Elizabeth Tursynbayeva’s father Baytak Tursynbayev handed over skates in which she made her legendary quadruple jump at the World Championships, writing Kazakhstan in the history of world sport.

Serik Sapiev handed over the form in which he participated in the 2009 World Championship. Yuri Melnichenko presented the organizers of the event with the Cup from one of the many competitions in his sports career. Aliya Yusupova handed over a statuette from the international tournament, a personalized medal and a ribbon with a stick. Ilya Ilyin added the 2014 gold medal to the museum collection. Daniyar Yeleusinov handed over his golden boxing glove to the museum. Guzel Manyurova presented a leotard, in which she won many victories. Beibit Ystybaev handed over the wrestling belt, which was personally presented to him by Elbasy in 2015. Moldir Mekenbayeva - medals of the Asian Championship, which was held in Mongolia in 2019. The event was also attended by President of the Association of Bikers of Kazakhstan Dmitry Petrukhin, whose bike and other trophies are already presented in the Museum of the Library of Elbasy.

Sergey Tsyrulnikov, a well-known strongman, a four-time world record holder in power numbers, a follower of the traditions of Kazhymukan Munaitpasov and Baluan Sholak, also demonstrated his remarkable physical abilities here. Before the guests, he unbent the horseshoe, which he handed over to the Museum of Sports Glory of the Library of Elbasy. In his speech, he noted: "The power traditions of the Kazakh Paluans are an integral part of the culture of Kazakhstan, a whole layer of heritage that, unfortunately, was lost. Today, my main task is to develop the power traditions of Kazakhstan, to strengthen the Batyrs Code. Young people should know their batyrs, the history of batyrism. This event is important for me, because here I can once again tell the general public about the heritage of the Kazakh Paluans".

Daniyar Yeleusinov, Kazakhstani boxer, multiple world and Asian champion, peer of Independence, shared his memories of the victorious fight at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro: "I will always remember the happiness of running around the Olympic Village with a medal, receiving congratulations from relatives, friends, colleagues. I have been working towards this goal for so long and have managed to justify the trust of the people. And this year I would like to dedicate all my further victories to the Independence of our country".

Over the years of independence, Kazakhstan's athletes have won more than 60 Olympic medals and about 700 medals in international competitions of various levels. Our country is among the top 30 sports powers. The development of sports in the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the most important areas of state policy.
The participants of the event had the opportunity to stand with the sports stars on the podium and get the autographs of the champions. It is symbolic that the revue took place at the site of the Elbasy Library Museum, where interactive spaces of "personal experience" operate as points of attraction for youth, energy and civic initiative. Ilya Ilyin demonstrated his skills here - he lifted up the barbell, and Serik Sapiyev - held a boxing match. Both athletes defeated digital rivals.
The personal belongings and archival materials handed over by the athletes during the sports revue in the expositions of the Library of the Elbasy will become available to the general public.
