CINEMA AS A TOOL FOR PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE

On June 28-29, for students of the higher medical college and the college of service and tourism of the city of Nur-Sultan, the cinema  "Cinema about life and activity of N.A. Nazarbaev as a historical source" was held in the online format.

- The cinema lecture hall uses the social, cultural and educational functions of cinema. A careful viewing and analysis of feature films about the historical role of Elbasy in the history of Kazakhstan clearly clarify the resolution of complex state problems and processes. The films reveal the life of people in the Soviet period with its peculiarities and problems, historically ambiguous perestroika transformations, the long difficult way of Kazakhstan to sovereignty, the definition of directions and the implementation of the "Kazakhstani way", strengthening the position of Kazakhstan in the international arena, the development of a new capital. Firstly, the films of the epic "The Way of the Leader" are based on real events. Secondly, the scenarios are consistent with the content of the books of Elbasy. Thirdly, the eyewitnesses of the events fully confirm the reliability of the informative content of the films", explained Aslan Azerbayev, a leading researcher at the Social, Humanitarian and Educational Projects Service of the Elbasy Library.

The film collection contains an overview and analysis of the TV series "Polygon" (2020), the storyline of which is designed in the spirit of an exciting political detective story.
The six-episode series faithfully conveys images of broken destinies and lives, revealing the relentless public struggle for the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. The series shows the decisive role of Nursultan Nazarbayev, at that time still the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR, then the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, in closing the test site.
This form of information presentation contributes to the effective learning of historical materials, popularization of modern national history, education of patriotic feelings among Kazakhstani youth.
